EFFINGWOODS (WIS) - Inspired by real-life events taking place in the shadowy underworld known as Hockey East ... WIS Productions in tandem with the mind of N. Don Shamalamadingdong, proudly present this Summer's must-see blockbuster, coming soon to obscure Croatian-language cable TV outlets virtually dotted across the backwaters of North America ...
An obscure well-traveled assistant coach finally lands a coveted job with his alma mater ... but a vindictive former boss, his willing media accomplice, and the emergence of strange crop circles deep within Breakheart Reservation combine to lead to the discovery of a family mystery protected by a secret hockey society for two decades - which could shake the foundations of human civilization (not to mention UNH Men's Hockey). Starring Joe Pesce and Coach Dick Umile, Ray Liotta as Coach Mike Souza, Sean Penn as Coach Luce Canaan, Jack Nicholson as Commish Bertagna, and Marty "Peaches" Scarano as himself in a riveting cameo ... be the first (and likely only) kid on your block to catch the unforgettable and regrettable epic that is ...

Soooo who's watching game 5?
As we move along into Day 10 of the Souza Watch, we can only wonder why it's taken so long for an announcement confirming what seems to be the worst-kept secret in recent UNH Men's Hockey history. Or is it ...
Just sayin' ...
Absolutely. The point is that they have(?) to do it before announcing a new hire. Pity the poor applicant who applies after reading the job posting, having not read this thread. It's pretty easy to devise a job description that fits the candidate that you want. Happens all the time. In fact, UNH just did it last year when they hired Stewart.

I thought you would be applying for this one:https://jobs.usnh.edu/applicants/jsp/shared/position/JobDetails_css.jsp?postingId=166787
Excellent! Maybe Chuck can substitute posting experience here in lieu of grad degree in sport management? Is BS35+2 accepting nominations for this job opening? If so, I nominate Jacques "Rabbit" Porriveau.
There is no chance whatsoever BS35+2 would entertain hiring WIS15+3 for that opening.
I'd hire Jacques for that job in a heartbeat. Let's see how smart BS35+2 really is ... he'd need to hire an interpreter (nepotism alert!!) just to have someone around to interpret Jacques' pigeon Franglais.
Is NICC even still in the league?
Is NICC even still in the league?
NICC is waiting see whether Rutgers and Syracuse add Div 1 hockey; if those two teams sign on, then NICC, Arizona State, Rutgers, and Syracuse will be looking to poach two NCHC or WCHA teams to form a new conference, whose name is yet to be determined.
TvR had one hit and one blocked shot in his two shifts during the first period of game 6. Note what I did not mention about the first period.
TvR with that all important SOG!!! (And another one a rocket) Come on Snively am out of guesses and you know how much I hate surprises! What did you not mention?!?
And Our very own Trevor VanRiemsdyk gets the cup...and a ring in his rookie season. Soooo proud of him and all who have coached him over the years! It's a Great day to be a Wildcat fan!!![]()
Great game, and great series. No shifts for TvR or Timmonen in the third, but that is understandable, I think. Duncan Keith logged over 30 minutes (again). TvR first UNH alum to get his name on the Stanley Cup in a while (see Chuck's earlier post, maybe on previous thread?). And, Timmonen toiled for almost 20 years in the NHL to get his name on the Cup. The van Riemsdyk family must be very happy tonight.
