Sports Network has UNH football losing by 10. Looks like .... "we got em just where we want em."

Hope you guys win, any team from the north winning drives the southern teams crazy.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2014/2015 - Wait 'Til Next Year!!!

Your last statement has been on my mind really from day 1; knowing how young we would be I thought "well at least we still have CDS back there".
When that changed I knew it would be a challenge. And if you take away the UML drubbing it's been better than I personally anticipated.

It's almost like did the chicken come before the egg". Rookie D rookie GK...does it really matter who is the stronger piece even the best GK gets scored on. Case in point for me at least when we are playing long periods of D , not clearing the zone I'm saying "anytime now" we're gonna get scored in and there it is usually! Of course that's the way of it most of the time for any team; law of ave. Casey is missed there is no question but Clark is doing well and wonder if/how the arrival of Tirone will pan out...

Should be interesting when all is said and done about this season how we can look back and have a perspective built on hindsight.

At this point are we disappointed with our season or was this as expected...pre the "distraction"? Hmmm....

Ps my CHN app still shows CDS on our roster

Stuck in McMurdo waiting for a Herc-130 landing zone in the Ohio Range to be approved, so I can continue to follow this thread for a few more days, while our team practices with their two young goaltenders over the holidays.

I think that our young team has performed well, with a couple of exceptions when some thought that they quit during their blow out losses. I did not see either of these two games, so I cannot say about the quitting part. Considering that Willows no longer has Goumas and Sorkin on his line, I think that he is doing remarkably well, given all the other distractions this past semester. I see nothing but improvement for our team during the second half, with of course the potential for a couple more blow out losses to the upper echelon teams of Hockey East. Hey, like Chuck's thread title says, this is a rebuilding year; as long as these kids keep hustling, I will be fine with their play.

Heard through the rumor mill that Clarky's finger is doing very well from being skated over in the Maine game Sat. night...whew! Looking forward to this football game too!! Gotta get the tail gating thing going; bought parking today, warm clothes, etc! Let's Go 'Cats!!

Re: UNH Wildcats 2014/2015 - Wait 'Til Next Year!!!

Ok, from almost 78 degrees South in McMurdo, and 18 hours ahead of EST, I will move this thread back to page 1, and wish the Cats f-ball team and its fans the best at Cowell Stadium on Saturday.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2014/2015 - Wait 'Til Next Year!!!

Thanks for bumping us up Snively65! Big game today in Cat land. Getting ready to rock it. Not the biggest football fan but hey it's UNH so....pom poms in the ready! ;) Catch up to us when you can...Go 'Cats!!

I'll be there with my oldest son. Hoping for a big crowd but not sure if the students are gone for the Christmas break!! Go Cats!!

Re: UNH Wildcats 2014/2015 - Wait 'Til Next Year!!!

I think that one pass to RJ in the 2nd half where he just couldn't catch up to the ball would have been a catch before the half. great season

Re: UNH Wildcats 2014/2015 - Wait 'Til Next Year!!!

Great playoff football game, even better crowd.

Though I am glad nobody lit a match, at least where I was sitting

Re: UNH Wildcats 2014/2015 - Wait 'Til Next Year!!!

Tough loss for the Cats in front of a big crowd of just under 10,000 fans. In the end they fell just a little short. They had a great season though at 12-2. No complaints here!!

We will get our NC in hockey or football eventually. As a Michigan State (not Michigan) fan told me at the FF in 2003, my team would win a NC when the Red Sox win a WS.

Ten years after the curse was reversed, the UNH faithful still wait and wait and.... That MSU guy was off a bit on his prediction I think.

It's too bad RJ Harris' collegiate career ends with him injured and on the sideline. The team's go to receiver shut down after his second injury of the game. Marcus Thames, not active, Casey DeAndrade and Andy Vailas injured during play...the losses added up. It's part of the game though, so what can you do? It was just a bad time to lose key guys.

A play or two was all UNH needed and they couldn't find them. Still, a great season. Thanks to all the seniors for your hard work and contributions. Underclassmen, let's go for it again in 2015. I think the future looks good for the program. Groundbreaking for the new improved Cowell will happen shortly and if the architect's renderings are any indication, we are going to have a beautiful football facility in a couple of years. I would think it will attract better recruits, so I'm optimistic for the future.

I predict NDSU rolls to yet another NC in Frisco next month. I'm going to start a petition to have the NCAA move them up to FBS so someone else has a chance...:-)

BTW...that was a very, very long ride home from Buffalo in 2003 with a heartbroken kid....
