Beantown Bullies, the team Jason Kalinowski plays for, reported his commitment to UNH. Look for a player profile on the blog tomorrow.

UNH Recruit Michael McNicholas: Where Will He Play?
This is disheartening, thought he had made it. I really hope he is able to play a full season with Muskegon this year. Two years there, and at UNH Fall '13. Playing another year in U-18 won't help him develop much (if he is even eligible).

The UNH Men's Hockey Blog has received confirmation that Michael McNicholas will be playing for the Muskegon Lumberjacks this season.

Just saying hi to the crew here -- hope everyone had a good offseason.

Nice to see we are finally playing Harvard again... wish we would play them in football too (long, long ago we did).

I went up to Easton to watch us pull out a sensational 48-41 overtime win against Lehigh. Most exciting college game I've ever been at -- superb diving catch in the back corner of the end zone for the win. Great stadium, perfect weather, really classy and welcoming crowd.

Only points I'd deduct are for the fact that the tune to Cornell's longstanding alma mater ("High above Cayuga's waters", etc.) is their alma mater's tune also... :-)

Hey, C-H-C-- a special hello to you. Am signing off early tonight; hope you are doing well.

One PS: it was great watching on TV the team from tiny Zug, Switzerland (population less than 24,000) crush the New York Rangers 8-4 last week. :D

Those Swiss fans sure know how to party at a game -- sang literally non-stop at the top of their lungs for the entire 60 minutes. U.S. announcer said this is the norm there!

That Supporter's culture is best known in European soccer, but it is also commonplace in European hockey, as you saw.

The kids now leading the cheers at the Whitt are trying to incorporate some of that culture, but it is tough going, when many fans can't be bothered to stay until the end of the game, let alone sing the whole time.
