UNH Offseason Contract Edition.

Preach, Brother Grouch.

The last three months must have been exhausting for the poor lad ... I mean, after realizing there wasn't gonna be a mid-season extension, after busting out the ol' "Champs of October" routine on the newbie AD didn't work, having to call in all those chits from the B's broadcast team, the 2-3 guys who work full-time in the college hockey press up here, and chauffeuring new bestie TDL to and from meetings with AD Sugar Britches and her minions in Durham ... I'm exhausted just writing all that stuff out on here, jeezus ... who can blame the guy, taking a night off, spending it with the missus and the kids, no?

A new pair of knee pads may be in order, the old ones are starting to look a little worn after all the activity of late.

'Ref, knowing your adventurous nature at games like these, if you didn't see OR become aware of MS7 being in the house last night, he wasn't. The whole trick of the thing is visibility. You go to be seen, and you want to be seen as publicity for your program. Effin' he11, the retired HC was there ferchrissakes, but not the current guy?? On the years I went, you could walk around the main level between periods, and spot just about everyone who was anyone ... it's one of two nights of the HEA season where you can do that, and anyone cares. If he's there, but hiding out in someone's private luxury box, then he's even more hopeless in this role than I think he is (and that's not good) ...

If UNH hosts and goes to a regional I’d be forced to go but SNHU is so outdated as a hockey venue.

Always go never miss them but what I do miss is seeing UNH in these games. Of course I have a short history having only seeing one.You'd think the urgency would be there and I fully expect it to be!

Long overdue...too long.

Jeez, it's barely 20 years old at this point, what's the issue?? Maybe not cutting edge with all the bells and whistles, but perfectly fine for a city of its size, and one that currently lacks a hockey tenant(s). Help me with the details that make it "outdated"?? I mean, I could come up with a long list of things that could be better at TD Garden too, but it's perfectly adequate for NHL hockey, and the SNHU Center is perfectly adequate for minor league and college hockey, I would think?? Unless you're MS7 and looking for excuses why you're not playing there ... ;-)
 
Angus Crookshank scored the winning goal in 5-2 win against Devils tonight, his second NHL goal.

Maybe not outdated but the experience for the rink/area isn’t my favorite. As there’s no hockey tenant why invest but the scoreboard looks like a dot matrix printer.

Haven’t been recently but unsure of food options? Moose, Farm, and Goat now?

Agree on that scoreboard but if UNH made it they could use one of those old flip thingies as far.as I'm concerned.

Speaking of making it UMass squeaks in with the tiniest of margins. Goes to show how every game matters...every single one.

Well you do have a point I mean I got 3 texts and even a picture that DU was in the house so trust me if MS7 were there...

Am going to the women's FF game today wonder if he shows up there today? Last game the 'Whitt for awhile
off to Fla for a short jaunt glad to get away from the foot of snow we got.

Got 22” to 30” in the North Country. Biggest snowstorm in several years for [Joe] Thornton, NH. Woo hoo!

Looks like BiG10, HEA, and NACHO each get four teams, EZAC two teams, and AHA and CCHA one each in the NCAA’s.

And Terriors will get shipped out West?

Mostly rain and sleet at the WIS Estate yesterday, such a mess, got the WIS crew out there early today to clean it all up! ;-)

MS7 to show up at the Women's FF game today? What, is there something in it for him?? Witt - sure. Souza?? lololololol ...

Last year they had a temporary high resolution video screen. The arena is what it is. The footprint was limited which explains why the (narrow) concourse is so crowded during intermissions. The in arena concessions leave a lot to be desired, they open the club to the general public for those who want to pay more for better food. Walking distance to the arena food options are plentiful. Anything you would want in any price range. Manch has come a long way. When UNH hosts, I start a NE regionals thread with some advice and as a place where people can ask questions. Stay tuned, only 52 weeks.

Are you going to the Whittemore today? It will be your last chance to watch hockey there for a while. Just go, Chuck, soak it all up and hope it lasts you the summer.

About half done with snow removal, as needed to take a break.

Agreed that MS7 should not be wasting any time “being seen” locally as he needs to spend every waking moment lobbying his best players not to leave via the portal and attending as many Penticton Vees BCHL playoff games as possible. Maybe do some recruiting while in the Vancouver area also.
