Question to the board in general: Now that UMaine has rediscovered the travel coordinates to the Garden, and Luce made his one and only appearance for the emerging dynasty (not) that was supposedly UConn two years ago ... is it safe to assume that UNH now is on the clock as the program that hasn't been to Boston for the HEA semis the longest? Or is UVM in the running there, too?
Even though they're no longer in the league, I'm wondering if NICC has a more recent appearance than UNH ...
UVM made their last appearance in 2015 (just put away that now 'vintage' poster with then Capt Matt Willows) That said UVM made it to the qtrs while we did not in '16 ( we lost to...Merrimack in the first round)
Looking at the 2016 HE tournament UVM almost made the semis as they lost to BC in 3 games....losing the 3rd in a 4-3 (OT) decision to the Beagles....as an interesting side note.
Both UVM and UNH made it to the qtrs in 2017 while NIIC made it to the semis in their last season in HE...
So before this season Maine had been the longest stint of being out of the HE semis (as you point out)
Correct if wrong but what is NOT wrong is it seems the qtrs have been our ceiling so to speak..for now.
