I'm scratching my head on this one, stats sure make your team look better than the Sun Devils.

From the Insider today:
UNH has hit the halfway mark of its 34-game regular season schedule with a 3-13-1 record and is counting on bouncing back after the break.
"This is why we're optimistic here, we know that it can turn on you that quickly in a positive way," said head coach Mike Souza. "That's all we've talked about, that this thing is going to turn and hopefully it starts Friday and if it's not Friday, hopefully it starts Saturday."
Then...just to cover if we lose tomorrow:
"I'm optimistic the fruits of their efforts will be shown in the second half."
And now here's something we hope you'll really like!

Speaking of Merrimack, nice interview of Scotty Borek by Billy Jaffe on NESN after Bruins loss in Tempe (where?) tonight.
Merrimack vs Providence on NESN this Saturday night in case the Whitt is sold out.
Say what you will but the effort was there most of the night. Very tough way to lose! db is correct on shot quality but something more should have gone in. All but the first ASU goal was a gift.
The Lights did actually come back on in the third. Was an interesting situation as Miller, or someone else, noticed that the concourse lights where out at one end. Poor ice level guy didn’t know what to do. The Assistant AD (I think) came down as did a young suit. Who knows, but they did finally figure it out. Hard to believe that the concourse lights could make that much of a difference but they do.
The worse news for me as we finally have disgruntled players. Not frustrated, clearly grousing about who knows what. Could be a real tough second half for our Captain and the coaches, you never want to lose “the team”.
But that's up to HIM to fix that issue on the ice, or by recruiting players who CAN score goals. I believe we have these players...look at Liam Devlin. What's happened to him?? He was on fire. Then.....
Students are stupid. They should be shouting at Umile and Scarano, not the poor guy put in over his head. Let him leave with dignity, and maybe when he's in his 50s he can apply his knowledge like another guy who killed a perennial champion program in five years, who licked his wounds for 15 years, and then returned to a HC job (Borek).
Getting knocked down by a painful learning experience is not the end.
And no, you don't fire a coach mid-year unless there's misconduct. Failing with dignity is a skill the HC will also be learning.
I can't help but feel Borek's joy at sticking it to Scarano (and Umile). He certainly was stung by being passed over, but got the last laugh.

He was a second liner in HS, a fourth liner in the USHL. Expecting more is not reasonable, despite his strong first year.
