UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

38 is better especially if it (mostly) fills in the Christmas break and makes a "bye" week 1 game instead of 0.
I can’t see them eating into winter break more than they have with tournaments between Christmas and New Years etc. My guess is you will see more of the random mid week games (usually seems like Tuesday is the most popular). They will be lightly attended, but I presume the same could be said with winter break games with students being off in break etc.

I also agree though that complete bye weekends would mostly go away. And those would turn into a one game weekend on Friday/Saturday.

Compared to some of the junior leagues/CHL, the college hockey schedule is pretty light in terms of number of games.

It may benefit UNH, as I imagine coach salaries would largely stay the same, but you’d get increased revenue from the additional few home games. This assumes a certain number of butts in seats though. And with mid week games/sparsely populated I don’t know what the “break even” number is.

Gameday! And I think we all hope it won’t be the final gameday until October…

As we have talked about. This should be (on paper) a winnable game against a NEU team on neutral turf. While the playoffs are probably not the best time to try substantially “new” things, the team has to realize what they have been doing offensively since the BU series has not been working - especially on the PP.

I said earlier in the week I predict 3-1 in favor of the huskies, but I could easily see it flip with the same score in favor of UNH. I believe it will be 1-1 heading into the 3rd, and whoever pots the go ahead will win by way of an additional ENG in the closing minutes.

As with many recent UNH games, it partly depends on how they come out in the first 4-5 minutes. I just hope it won’t be like what we saw at UMA, where the game was pretty much over after the 1st period…

Looking forward to tonight. Second season starts tonight. Let’s hope it lasts more than one game!
