UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

UNH one of five teams across D1 averaging fewer than 2 goals a game
Yikes… just took a closer look. The 4 other teams with us are the powerhouses of UVM, Alaska Anchorage, Northern Michigan, and Mercyhurst. We are behind the likes of St. Lawrence and RPI (whom we scored 6 against earlier this year…).

Also took a quick look at the Power Play. We aren’t quite in the bottom 5, but tied for 53rd…

We need to improve significantly in both categories if we have any hope of moving up in the HEA standings

Excellent sleuthing, JB. I found 1977/78 to be the second highest GPG at 6.57 (197 G, 528 pts in 30 games), with 1976/77 third highest at 6.26 (244 G, 665 pts in 38 games), and 1970/71 the highest at 6.86 (199 goals, 521 pts in 29 games). Yup, different era, for sure. But, Lively Snively got its name for a reason. Louis Frigon, recruited from Montreal by Rube Bjorkman, was a senior in the 1970/71 season when he scored 38 goals and 48 assists for 86 points. Seven other double-digit goal scorers that season included Billy Munroe (21 G, 60 pts), Mike McShane (15 G, 58 pts), Dick Umile (21 G, 56 pts), John Gray (30 G, 50 pts), Guy Smith (11 G, 47 pts), Bill Beaney (24 G, 44 pts), and Terry Blewett (16 G, 20 pts). How many double-digit goal scorers will UNH have this season?
