The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I was wondering if anyone has heard any rumors where the last few UNH guys still in the portal may end up? On Gopher puck I’m still seeing Walsh, C. MacPherson, Hahn, Deturris, and Coombs still unclaimed.
Hope they all find new teams come this fall - even if it means back to Juniors, DIII, etc.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

No mention of The Whitt and NIL, but interesting to hear the guy speak publicly about where he stands on key issues. His commercial buys on local and cable TV are slowly ramping up, and he'll probably be pretty busy on the campaign trail in earnest when MS7 starts his contract year In October '26.
Just trying to keep some semblance of UNH Hockey chatter going as we await the hiring of a new AD in the coming months ...
Cinnamoroll posted a new UNH commitment in the CHL thread. Émile Guité, a 6-2, '07, left-shot winger from suburban Montreal and the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. He's Chicoutimi's fifth-leading scorer with 32-33--65 in 59 games this season, plus 8-6--14 in 19 QMJHL Playoff games. Fifth-round pick of Anaheim in 2025...
Cursory research informs that he is not the son of Guité who must not be named, but I can not confirm there is no relation. They're both from Montreal...
"Guité has some special elements that could enable him to go on a hot streak over the next seasons: His feel for offensive positioning and shot. Constantly adjusting his footwork and surveying the ice, he finds seams in coverage and can fire powerfully off the pass even surrounded by defenders. He can also help his team away from the puck."

He does retain JR eligibility, but with his draft status, production, pedigree and development needs (college weight room) I wonder if he's not in the mix for this fall? If I'm correct he'd put UNH at 26 bodies, pending a third goalie - but they have a few players who might still qualify as dedicated student-athletes...
