What a disaster this lineup is. Fitzy back in on D with his team leading +/-. No Moose again this week. First line back together and Ringer gets demoted to the 4th line.

Bullitt with Steve McQueen sounds like a strong alternative viewing choice if things do go sideways ...

Way to go 'Cats! Happy to see the 3rd period goals and a hattie for Liam! Who knows what will happen tomorrow but for tonight we got 'em where we want 'em!!

....and the 3 points.

Hostile environment for Maine every bit as much for UNH at Alfond. Give UNH and MS7 credit though. They wanted it more.

We upset no. 6 Maine and yer drop to no. 17 in PWR as CC upsets Nodak.

Yeah I saw that...of course not expecting to get in via PWR as we blew our chances I think...but maybe we make some noise in the HE tourney IF....we come to play.

Still savoring that W last night! Like ATW said to me "we got 1".

So expecting Babbage to get into the line up tonight?

Imagine Maine comes out with a vengeance! Be fun to make it a long ride home for them go 'Cats!!!

I like the F U Maine cheer coming from the student section... For the record...HR did not participate....haha

Maybe an “overrated “ cheer would have been appropo.

Maybe an ?overrated ? cheer would have been appropo.

You save that one for tonight IF the 'Cats can pull off the sweep, e.cat. That's the one that you wanna leave still ringing in their ears, as they warm up the bus for the long ride back home tonight. You break that one out a night early, then you're guilty of premature ... celebration. Let's at least act like we've been there before (long ago) ...

Good night for MS7 ... despite telegraphing his tactics to Coach Barr (maybe he can't be bothered to check the UL leading up to the series?), it looked like the UMaine defense never really got into the flow, and UNH enforced an effective forecheck for most of the game, setting the tone right from the jump. And at least two of his struggling scorers - Conmy and obviously Devlin - got off the schneid, which bodes well for tonight.

UMaine can't complain too much (haven't been to their thread yet) ... first, Barr busted Fitzy out of the game for the 5 minute contact to the head on video review, which could have turned the game on its head at a critical juncture ... and then when that failed, UMaine was probably fortunate that their 2nd goal stood after what felt like one of the longest goal reviews in the long history of HEA regular season games. Kudos have to go to MS7 and his 'Cats for dealing very well with both of those situations. In retrospect, however, if UMaine scores on their close call just before Conmy's goal, and it's 2-2 instead of 3-1, this is a different game down the stretch.

Am I the only one who detected a hint of emotion in Souza's voice at the start of his post-game on-ice interview? What a shame ... what could have been with this victory, and a possible sweep, had UNH taken care of business in two of the three recent losses to UConn-UVM-Merrimack. Sadly, that damage has been done, so the best you can do is just pick things up and go from there. If I'm Coach Barr, though ... I'm lighting up my guys in the dressing room afterwards, as it looks like they quit after the ENG, and pretty much allowed UNH the "cherry on top" finish with the Sardarian goal a few seconds from the end. I'm thinking UNH is gonna have a P.O.'ed opponent to deal with tonight, and one that will be far better prepared for things that seemed to (inexplicably) catch them by surprise tonight, and motivated to avenge an embarrassing loss.

Leapfrogged Yukon in HE but they didn't play this weekend..would be nice to put alittle distance with a W tonight but I'm not going to fan duel yet lol
