Consider them yours Dale, I'll put them into will call. I usually get to the 'Whitt around 6-6:15. Like I said they are in our section 119 but you can
prob sit where ever...! If anything changes from now to then just post here..

Thank you!

Serious question: I didn't even know there are paper tickets anymore. Thought everything was digital. Just being curious....

I know right? These tickets were comp tickets that were given to us by a PSU employee; not sure how he got them but assures me they are legit! They
do have a bar code on them like regular tix I noticed.

Wanted to be closer to home in Ljusdal?

Ha ha, that could be a factor I overlooked, might save him a about an hour in flight time! Seriously though, anyone know was he unhappy with UND or the other way around. At any rate, their loss appears to be our gain, so far anyway! Time will tell.

If you ask you can get them. Last year and this year I called to had them printed and waiting for me. If the system was easier, I would do electronic but it's too much of a PITA.

Thanks for the information Norbert. Honestly, I might have gone to a few more games if the digital thing wasn't such a pain (as you noted.) It seems it was easier to get into the building back in the day when it was full than it is now when its half empty.

And don't even get me going about the no cash thing. I guess they've never read that note on the front of paper currency.

As stated, he was mediocre at UND - and the coaches probably told him they were in the market for an upgrade. UND has had three straight transfer portal starters…

Driscoll from Bemidji was the #1 in his FR season, then Drew DeRidder transferred in from MSU and started ahead of him as a SO…

This season they brought in a FR and picked up Miami three-year starter Ludvig Pierson - who was great at MU on bad teams and looks awesome so far in ND. So, most likely a no room at the inn conversation led him to UNH…

Kudos to him if he’s played himself into a 1B role early - Muszelik is an NTDP goalie and one of the ‘best’ in a down US age group, but he’s never really played at a level that matches a WJC goalie (though he may make the team as a #3 this winter)…

Most ski areas are now cashless. But, it took almost 50 years for this digital transition to occur since Joe Ford in my intro Polisci course at UNH told us that we would going completely cashless within a decade (I think that he meant the switching to credit cards, and obviously not digital transfer of funds).

Thanks for the info Dan, guess I missed the previous discussion regarding him and UND.

I took a class with Joe Ford. Very nice man.

I noticed a few times this summer venues were charging sales tax on top of the cost of what I was buying so perhaps that offers one clue on the switch. I question the legality of not taking cash but venues are obviously getting away with it.

Joe was really funny as he was also serving in the NH legislature when I took his class and often arrived late from Concord and parked illegally next to the building where our class was held. Late in the semester he showed us a stack of parking tickets that he had saved up to pay all at once.

This is a big weekend (aren't they all?) but especially with the HE points on the line etc. Providence will undoubtedly be ready to play I
never underestimate a Nate Leaman* coached team.

Am thinking a split,

Fri: UNH 3 PC2
Sat: PC 4 UNH 1

Let's go 'Cats!

*I will also confess that there's no other team I like to see us beat more than PC, besides of course,
UML...

Not a bad prediction. A lot will depend on if Moose can shake off any rust from being out last week and who the top line plays with Devlin's replacement.

Did the USCHO message board crash this afternoon, or what???

UNH 1:1 Providence, another good result for the 'Cats, looks like Hellsten remained in between the pipes, UNH equalized through Morgan Winters in the later part of the 3rd period, and BC's own Marty Hughes was one of the two lead officials for tonight's game. Can't find any highlights yet either, but the COO have extended their reign into the first weekend of November. Somewhere out there, Coach Umile must be beaming proudly at his protege.

In the meantime ... across the street, the juggernaut that has become UNH Soccer continues to mow 'em down ...

#11 'Cats Capture Fifth Straight Regular Season Championship with 2-0 Win Over #16 Vermont - University of New Hampshire Athletics (unhwildcats.com)

'Cats will be hosting the AE Semis at midweek, and with another win would host the AE Finals next weekend.

IIRC there is a 32 team field for the NCAA's, so UNH would seem to have a foot-and-a-half in that door as well.

The UNH-UVM rivalry out on the pitch is becoming something special, a hidden gem in the competitive landscape.

If you haven't caught the 'Cats at The House That Blue Skies Built yet, treat yourself next week (dress warmly!)!!

At this admittedly early point in the season, both goalies have three full games. The numbers are striking, and match what my unskilled eyes see. Jakob would be my starter until he shows a crack or needs a rest. Hope he gets tomorrow’s game.
Also curious to see how these boys play away from Towse Rink at the Whittemore Center at the Key Auto Group something or another.

First, I’ll say, I hate the shootout. Let’s just call it a tie at the end of OT, and as ties go this was an exciting one! Sellout crowd, yes a sellout, was loud with a great overall atmosphere at the Whit tonight. Hellsten looked very solid again tonight, but credit to the defense for limiting opportunities, especially in the first and third periods. Winters shorty late in the third is just more evidence this team doesn’t panic and fights till the end.

I don’t feel optimistic about tomorrow night, but hoping they can prove me wrong.

edit: thanks again HR for the tickets and nice meeting you!

Key Auto Group COMPLEX, because the complex includes both the Whitt and the Hamel Recreation Center. Ask me anything. :-)

I agree with those who think that shoot outs should be banned in college hockey. Great to hear about the sell out at the Whitt. Let there be many more!

Nice to see you here Aerman! I agree that Hellsten should start tonight. I think the team feels good about him (not that they don't with Muze) at this point.
He made some nice saves I thought; both goalies were on harrumph esp. Svedberg.

Personally I was glad to see us 'escape' with a point; yes we had our chances and solving Svedberg (sp) was difficult. I think the offense was somewhat
'off' at times and wonder if the Devlin loss accounted for that? Winters- second shortie for him this season? A couple of 'quiet games' for Ryan Conmy-

Place was packed and that was great to see; finally got on our feet after the Winters goal. Wonder if that (sell out) will continue of course,
all contingent on how the 'Cats are doing down the road.

Yes our first 'away game' and never easy to play down there tho I wouldn't call it the 'house of horrors' that Matthews has been for the team.
Thinking it will be a close one...

Chuck speaking to your soccer 'Cats I watched most of the game v UVM the other night hope they win the AE and move on- another
decent team for Coach Mark Hubbard. You never know; for example in the AE field hockey championship #2 plays #4 (Cal who upset #1 seed UML).
Walking past the fh field last night I thought to myself it was just too bad after a decent season to lose (esp to Maine!) but that's sports. On another note,
your favorite coach (Luce) got spanked by UVM last night, I mean, you hate to see it...

Go 'Cats!!

Ps put me down for someone who also dislikes the shootout...but I don't have the dislike for them the way Snively has for the jumbotron ha!

Nice meeting you (and your daughter) as well! Glad someone could use those tickets...But I will say that its getting pretty old the up and down
parade (mostly students) in that section. Too many times people standing looking for a seat blocking the view of the game. I know it's tough when you have
student ushers perhaps but last night was the worst for that. Harrumph. Never noticed it when we sat closer to the ice of course. Ho hum..

Remember what I told you about agreeing with everything I say from now on bwahahaha :)
