So after watching the first quarter on DVR after I got home from hockey... and doing some math... UNH scored 30 points in a 3:47 span in the first quarter.... that has to be close to some kind of record...
The biggest game of the week in FCS football is in Durham - no doubt it's a huge game. Not that I'm in the know by any stretch, but isn't our defense alot better than in recent year? I thought I heard that on Foster's or something but I could be wrong.
If so, and with the offense not missing too much of a beat with the departure of Santos and Ball, it could be a great postseason (knock on wood). I guess this week will be very telling....
UNH forces a turnover on downs, and gets it deep into Villanova territory. They are unable to punch it in and settle for a FG. With 5:24 left in the first quarter it's 10-0 UNH.
After UNH forces a punt they take it down and score on an RJ Toman one yard plunge. They try for the 2 pt. conversion and it fails so the score is now 22-7 UNH, second quarter.
After Villanova pick off a Toman pass at their own 23, the very quickly take it downfield and score a TD to take their first lead of the game. Now 24-22 Villanova, early 3rd quarter.
Third quarter is over, and Villanova leads 24-22. UNH offense crapped the bed, but the defense played great. UNH now gets the wind for the fourth quarter.
