Probably just trying to walk-on. Or might not be planning on even trying, just looking to go to school here. As we've seen before, it's really hard to come up from public high school play right into Hockey East.Don't usually follow the recruiting too much but caught this in the recently released Globe All-Scholastic boys hockey team. He was one of the Globe's players of the year. Was he recruited by Lowell or is just walking on/trying out?
Cam Owens - Division 2: Wilmington, Senior, C
Owens tallied 21 goals and 25 assists in his senior year, leading the Wildcats to the Division 2 state championship for the second straight year. He finished his career at Wilmington with 72 goals and 86 assists and plans to attend UMass Lowell.
