UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Terrence Wallin had 2 goals today in Gunnery's 7-3 win over Canterbury.

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Shayne Thompson had 2 goals (one unassisted and one shorthanded) in the CJHL's OT All-Star win over the CCHL. Julian Melchiori had 0 points in the game.

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Tyler Brickler had two assists and was named the third star for the game as the Westside Warriors lost last night 6-3.

Colton Saucerman scored his second goal of the year (and his USHL career) in the Bucs 7-5 loss last night.

Derek Arnold still can't find the net, and had no points in Waterloo's loss.

Marc Boulanger had 33 saves (on 35 shots) in the Grizzlys 3-2 OT win.

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

From USHR:
Terrence Wallin had a goal in Gunnery's 4-1 win over Culver Academy. He also had 4 points (1-3-4) yesterday in a 8-5 win over Northfield Mt. Hermon.
Gunnery is currently 9-2-1, Wallin has a 6-4-10 line.

Understand that Wallin had also been sidelined for a number of games due to injury suffered prior to holidays.

Thanks for the information snipeshow10. I didn't realize he has missed some games. The stats on USHR do not include games played. Any additional information you have on Wallin is appreciated.

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Doug Carr played only the first period for the Cornwall Colts last night, saving all 9 shots he faced. Not sure why he was replaced going into the second in the Colts 2-1 loss.
I saw this link over in the RPI thread. It looks like Carr is out with a groin injury.
Carr, who is near the top in most CJHL goaltending categories, will get a clearer picture of his groin injury as the American undergoes an MRI in the U.S., where an appointment is quicker.

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Another recruit for 2011 or 2012 on the Heisenberg site.
Scott Wilson-RW (2011 or 2012) Georgetown (OJHL) 5'11 170 4-24-92

http://georgetown.stats.pointstreak.com/playerpage.html?playerid=2528869&seasonid=4605
He's the third leading scorer for Georgetown (43 points in 36 games), but is younger than the other two on the team. In an article from December 29th ...
The 17-year-old Wilson, who potted the shootout clincher in Georgetown’s 3-2 win in Oakville Nov. 13, is receiving plenty of interest from a number of NCAA schools for his 12-goal, 29-assist output in 2009-10 over 35 games.
He was part of the Junior All Star game that the OJHL held, they hold one for the older kids (Senior All-Star game) and one for the younger kids (Junior All-Star).

If everyone holds onto their commitment, we have 17 verbals (and some NLIs included in there) for the next 3 recruiting seasons. Wow. This kinda reminds me of Maine's recruit list two years ago, which has completely fallen apart (including Arnold who's coming to Lowell now).

*Pendanza's 7 PPG are tied for third in the EJHL. His current point total puts him in a tie for 24th.
*Thompson's 58 points have currently 10th in CJHL scoring, even though he missed a few games due to a knee injury.
*Melchiori's 21 points have him tied for 13th amongst all defensemen in the CCHL. He missed four games playing for Team Canada East in the World Junior A Challenge.
*C. Eiserman is currently fifth in the EJHL in GAA and ninth in save %.
*TJ Massie is currently sixth in the EJHL in GAA and fifth in save %.
*Brickler was traded to the Westside Warriors on November 18th. While with Sioux City, his numbers were 0-3-3 in just 5 games played.
*Wallin's Gunnery team is 9-2-1, but I'm not sure how many games Wallin has played as he might have been out due to injury.
*Boulanger is 9th in the AJHL in GAA.
*Rayner was placed on the 45 day IR in mid-October.
*Curry is 5th in the NAHL in scoring.
*Carr is third in the CJHL in GAA with a 2.46, and is second in save percentage. Also, I've noted his 1 OT loss and his 2 Shootout losses as ties for now, until I have more time to change the formatting above.

Edit to add: Since we were making a wish list of the guys we're hoping Lowell goes after, I'd like to put in my (partial) namesake Evan Rodrigues of Georgetown. He's a '93 birthdate (7/28/93) and has a 11-26-37 line in 36 games as a teammate of Wilson.

I'm sure we'll all make sure you get his jersey when the time comes ;)

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

UML recruit Derek Arnold had himself a good weekend, with a 1-4-5 in two games. His first goal of the season.

Chad Ruhwedel had a goal this weekend for Sioux Falls while Josh Holmstrom had a single assist this weekend.

Shayne Thompson had three goals and an assist in two games. The Braves record setting win streak continues on as well, up to 25 games I believe. They have are 10th in the CJHL Top 20.

Tyler Brickler had a single goal in Westside's two games this weekend, but it was an important one ... the game winner to put his team up 3-2 (final score as well). The Warriors are 14th in the CJHL Top 20.

Scott Wilson's Georgetown team is 9th in the CJHL Top 20. He had 2 assists in their first game this past weekend, and had no points in the second.

Marc Boulanger made 41 saves (on 45 shots), backstopping his team to two wins this weekend.

Terrence Wallin had goal and an assist in Gunnery's 5-2 win over Canterbury on Friday. Gunnery was shut out by Winchendon the next day 1-0.
Gunnery is now 10-3-1. Wallin has 12 points ( 7-5-12).

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Julian Melchiori is ranked as the 61st North American skater in the just released NHL Scouting's mid-year rankings.
