I said they SPECULATED. They have a right to their opinion. That's all. They wondered if starting Hernberg caused a problem in the UML locker room.
Bush league bull****.
I saw the hit from probably the perfect angle. The BU player's face was completely surprised- no idea it was coming. Bush league hit. Glad it resulted in a suspension. NO reason for that BS. Ever. I didn't really see the guy who was hit doing anything to be an irritant before that. If it was #15 I could have understood. He was a hack - at least one of our guys is not OK d/t what he did that was after the whistle and unprovoked. There were a few interesting hits on him tonight when we had the momentary non-somulent moment (any other night I think both teams could have had a zipcode in the box).I didn't get a good look at the hit as I sit on the penalty box side. It's too bad the game had to end that way. I'm sure the league will take a look at it.
It was out of hand but they swallowed the whistle for both sides.I wouldn't expect a lot of penalties today unless the game itself gets out of hand. Refs won't call a lot.
He didn't seem to find the puck well at all.Don’t know anything definite but there was speculation on BU radio that the decision to not start Wall might have caused a little dissension in the locker room. As the old saying goes, “if you have two goalies (or quarterbacks) — you have none”....
The first BU goal was a beautiful play that Corey Price wouldn’t have stopped. But the next two Hernberg sort of froze on. Just my opinion.
He might not be 20 but that is really odd to say. No idea why he'd say it. There hasn't been any rumbling in the locker room about it. Many teams rotate goalies. In the past we've had 2 goalies rotate even thru the playoffs. Both have played well in spurts and both have had team play well in front of them. (or not- they have not played at all for both of them too)What do you mean facts? I said they SPECULATED. They have a right to their opinion. That's all. They wondered if starting Hernberg caused a problem in the UML locker room.
Bernie has been doing the games for 40 some-odd years. He's one of the most respected college broadcasters in the country. It's not like he's some 20 year-old coming out of left field.
(I'm sorry I said anything...jeez)

They both had a patch where they were very good and not so much.Well I can't speak for him but I think he may have been going on having watched Wall for a couple of years. I can't go back and look at stats, but I assume he has been good against BU so I'm sure they were surprised. As I said, rotation or no, sometimes you have to go with your gut.
That's what they "speculated." And IMO, being at the game, Wall is clearly the better goalie, rotation or no. Not saying it would have made the difference, because you play differently with a 3-0 lead. Who's to say that if he started BU wouldn't have come out with the same strong start? So I'm not at all saying because Wall shut them out that they "would have" won. But I have to say that I was surprised to see Hernberg.
Sorry, I forgot. There's no free speech in this country anymore unless the speech police approve.
Don't be thick. This is free speech. The announcer said what he wanted. You said what you wanted. I said what I wanted. Just because you don't like what I said doesn't mean there's "speech police". Grow up.
Wait, you still pay attention to your "rep?"Apparently not when my rep gets docked by saying "That's absolute b*** sh**"
Just not sure how they would have any idea.
THEY DIDN'T KNOW. They were SPECULATING!!!!!!!! What doesn't everybody understand about that word? Would you like it better if I said "guessing?" It's basically what UMLFan just said...they were surprised that Wall wasn't starting the biggest game of the year, so they openly "wondered" if there was an undercurrent of doubt, disagreement, whatever in the locker room. If I'm playing in the biggest game of the year and they put the "other guy" in net, I might react the same way. They don't have to KNOW. It was a comment based upon their surprise when they saw the lineup.
That's a pretty serious thing to speculate about without any evidence whatsoever. You are basically saying a coach lost his locker room.
I don't think it made a difference who was in goal. BU was obviously a better team. Way faster and way more confident. They zipped their passes on the ice tape to tape all night, especially around the perimeter in our end while our passes were wobbly, weak and often to no one. BU abruptly pulled the trigger all night long while we mailed them letters informing them we were finally gonna shoot.
