Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Someone should so make a sign for Friday that says "GO LAR Rivermen!"

I have to start using that along with St, Clooud, #26 Union, {PROVICED, Clogate, Pricetom, and Paint Thinner Nation.

U!M!L!AR Rivermen!

Any further word on a meeting place for us misfits that can't make it. I tried for the time off and Hell hasn't frozen over yet :(

Here you go....

UMass Lowell Viewing Party Can't make it to Bridgeport? You can support your River Hawks with your fellow fans at The Sports Zone in Dracut! The Sports Zone welcomes River Hawk Nation to come and enjoy the game as UMass Lowell looks to take down Miami on ESPNU.

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

Going to be able to make it, chief?

Yes, this is exciting. Have not seen Lowell live and in-person in a NCAA tournament game since 1983 in the DII semi-final vs. RIT when Lowell lost at Tully (Mike Carr hits the post multiple times......arrrrrgggggg, curse you Blaise MacDonald who played for RIT then). Cannot wait until Friday!

Some tweet's from the HE Coach's press conference today by Scott McLaughlin:

Bazin said there was a lot of rest during the week off from games, mostly because there was a bug running through the team.

Hopefully everyone has fully recovered from the flu/bug and is ready to go on Friday.

Nice article with McCoy and Eiserman in the Newburyport Daily News.

http://www.newburyportnews.com/sports/x1862284532/McCoy-Eiserman-will-represent-UMass-Lowell-in-NCAA-tournament

I like this quote the best.

Eiserman said. "I wasn't looking at the past, I was looking forward to the future. I wanted to be a part of changing it around. I wanted UMass Lowell to be a school people looked at with BC, BU and UNH, up high in Hockey East. We've made some noise this year."

Re: UML 2011-2012 Thread: Part II

I'm back in that mode I was in before the home/home weekend with BU ... I just can't wait for this.

I suppose if I waited 16 years, I can wait a couple more days. ;)

Anyone looking to carpool? "Rowdy" set up a Facebook page/wall for folks to touch base with fellow fans and coordinate transportation. They're offering a signed puck to anyone who gives a lift based on communication on the page.

Good idea... students... if there isn't already flyers in the dorms for this (or elsewhere on campus) make them. We need to fill the building.
