Serious question: where will hockey team practice when hoops are at home assuming hoops will play at Tsongas now that they're going D1? Tully?

The team has used the Tully over the years when the Tsongas is not available. Marty Meehan recently announced plans for a practice rink to be built that would be connected to the Tsongas. No time line was mentioned. I'm not sure what the plans are for the hoop teams. I could see some games at the Tsongas but I'm not sure if they plan to play all the games there.

Lowell will be the last Hockey East team to play a game at Fenway.

I still think we should refuse at this point... it really is a joke.

edit: oh, we're playing... meh... only interested if its a big party drinkathon... otherwise pass.

Seeing as I've been off the boards for a few days and seeing this wonderful news ( Riley throwing the first pitch), I'm happy for the university. Now on to what I'm not happy about.... 1) us being the last HE team 2) the fact bertagna is all buddy buddy w Lowell now

Bazin just mentioned that playing at Fenway does help with recruiting, and it's also great from the POV of the local players (Arnold, Pendenza, etc).

So as much as it sucks that we're the last HE team to play in this ... remember it's a good thing for the guys on the ice.

It is a joke to see that fat fool Bertagna pretending that he gives a **** about Lowell hockey.

So am I the only one who thinks playing there is a complete waste of time whether we are first or last? The ice always stinks, the sight lines are a complete joke and anyone I have talked to who went to any of the outdoor things (NHL and HE) have said it was way more exciting to think about than to experience- underwhelming- and they waste their time going again.

They never show the first pitches ever. Only if it's part of a special ceremony like opening day, the Fenway 100 event, etc. I bet UML had someone there and it will show up on their Youtube channel at some point.

I thought they would show it during the game at some point. Don and Jerry talked hockey for a while. Did the whole team go to the game?
