UMass Lowell 2021-2022: Which way are we going?

It was a fairly late arriving crowd. We had a few merrimack fans a couple of rows in front of us. I yelled out after the first penalty (after the same ref missed two blatant calls on merrrimack) good to see its 9 on 5 again... nothing really changes huh. The woman (who mustve been a players mother) looked back at me... i go im not wrong

Woah, a modern era double post. Yeah, nobody knew what the first penalty call was all about so from the TV viewing perspective I'd agree with the sentiment.

Some of you crazier people have looked into the possibilities thread. The main themes is hope for very few surprise winners and if we win Friday it would take a catastrophic event to keep us home. Even with a loss Friday it'll take some unlikelies but it depends how much you figure on QU sweeping through and Minnesota State taking care of Bemidji.

edit: usually they seat the parents together for obvious reasons. Keeps the arena staff on guard to deal with knuckleheads and so on.

If you can find the game video, nice piece between the first and second with Ben Walter talking about his memories at Lowell.

Agree, the first call was a bit of a mystery, marginal at best. After that it seemed like nothing would be called. That's fine as long as the Ref's are consistent.

Also for anyone wondering.

“The Official Pre-Game Headquarters for the River Hawks in Boston is the completely renovated Hurricane's at The Garden at 150 Canal Street. Pre-Game activities would start three hours prior to puck drop as we take over with River Hawk swag, blue and more!”

Dammit, why do I have to work?

Actually its the 8 hour drive that's stopping me and the prospect of doing the same thing again next week.

Looks like we're rooting for Q, Northeastern, especially MN State and maybe a little for Clarkson eh? Even if every other lowest seed left wins their tournaments UML still gets in if MN State wins.

Refs lead 2-0. The crasa penalty is probably legit but since when do those get called in these games. Declining to call a hit from behind makes the second one exist.

We are not experienced playing difficult teams. I repeat. We are not experienced playing difficult teams. UMass is a difficult team, they have more talent and our regular play is not doing it so far. I hate to say we need a BC or BU to be at their form but it wouldn't hurt us in the Pairwise and we wouldn't be making so many mistakes we're making tonight. We haven't been hardened enough in our breakout and its showing because UMass is not allowing what the other 9 teams do.
