Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread

Whew! They eek out another win while everyone is on pins and needles for pretty much the entire game. Boyle has been a pleasant surprise so far this season and if not for him, I shudder to think what their record would be. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the disappointing offense that continues to be snake bit that needs to wake up soon. A win is a win but I'd prefer a few more goals to go along with Boyle's and the defense's play.

Complete the sweep Sunday up at Maine and next weekend's series with Notre Dame looms large. With Lowell in first at the moment followed by a surprising Notre Dame team in second a point behind, taking both next weekend would go far in putting some distance between some other teams as well as ensuring Lowell wins the season series and the tie breaker come playoff time.

Let's not look past Sunday, but squeakyball plays Notre Dame that Saturday as well. I work with a ND alum and have been giving him crap about the UML-ND record in hockey. A sweep would be pretty sweet

I didn't watch all of the game... too tempted to do things in other browser windows...but Maine played really great defense.

Next game... be chirpy as hell and skate through every play... send maine to the box and own that little house of horrors.

Is there a magic number on the radio? I thought the game was 4PM and the pregame was 3:30. Have the radio antena strung across the kitchen and no game :(

And getting ugly for Maine. 4-0 Lowell at 15:15 of the first. Goals by Smith (pp) at 12:21 to make it 3-0 and then Chapie to make it 4-0.

Just a subtle reminder to myself that remembering the hockey game is better than dismembering a radscorpion.

Remembering the time they lost in a 16 goal (yes, I tink that is right) game and Riley packed em up to go home instead of staying there. This is a muuuuuch better outcome!

Yeah, that was that 16-0 HE playoff game up at Alfond in 1990. Gruesome.

The Maine fans all need therapy, moaning about how their program and facilities are in the toilet. And they didn't believe us when Whitehead took over up there and we said it was the beginning of the end for them.

Lowell all alone in first place now by 2 points. Big series with surprising Notre Dame this weekend coming up.
