They are back up to 8th after last night and as it turns out, they still would still be in 8th even if they had defeated Brown. I think UML has been dropping due to a combination of the ties, OOC records beyond their control and the teams above them keep winning.

As of right now there are 6 teams with 1 loss or less. That's a high number for this late into the season.

Hopefully they can improve and take care of business this upcoming weekend. I'm glad they are not playing Friday night and will have an extra day to rest after flying back from Europe.

Is the Belpot trophy that tiny little bell they were holding after the shootout win?

I thought it was pretty cool. Different. I liked the other things they gave out too. Do they get to take the bell home?

I definitely liked the idea of the winning team getting to ring the bell. I guess I just had visions of something like those soccer trophies they give out over there with the ribbons hanging off the sides. :D

I was wondering this as well. It's apparently an old bell, so if they do, I assume they have to give it back next year.

He certainly deserved an award. Even though he plays defense, with two GWGs, he should have been awarded the Offensive Player of The Week.

Anyone know if UCONN has a feed for the game on Saturday?

EDIT: Answering my own question, yes but it looks like you have to subscribe to CBS college sports for $9.95 a month

The last two games before the break. I would love to see the Hawks come out with urgency and play 60 minutes of solid hockey each game. The team can't afford to let UConn hang around and drop a game like they did last season.

Hellebuyck now 2-0 for the Jets, after making 32 saves in a 6-1 win over the Leafs last night.

I was looking at the upcoming promotions that the team is running, and saw one that will be of interest to many people on here:

Friday January 29 vs Arizona State: "Beer Tasting" (There's no other details yet)

Heard they might be wearing those god-awful gray third jerseys they debuted last year against Providence and they proceeded to lose in them. Hopefully not a bad omen for Sunday.

They are. I saw the school announce it on Twitter. Coincidentally they wore them last season on a NESN televised game. They got smoked that night. I was wondering if we would ever see them wear them again.

I'm concerned about this weekend. They haven't played all that well two weekends in a row now. Not to mention the travel.

Those jerseys look like PJs. (but ugly) PJs) I wonder if it makes them think they are napping.

The games before the break always scare me the most. Not to the player's fault, but they have the semester ending, they're looking at a little bit of a break, and the fact that it's a UConn team not playing all that great, I wouldn't be surprised if Lowell takes an L one of the two games. All I want is for Lowell to not play down to the level of their opponent, which is what they did in Ireland, they did against Merrimack, etc.
