Kid is sick so won't be making the game tonight. Any tricks for watching online, short of paying?
If anyone is in the greater Arlington area and would like 2 great seats, they're for pick up...an hour before, there's an offer!

Supposedly online is free tonight... If that's actually true, we'll find out

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March

Saw this in the Harvard thread - thought I would share. :-)

...<<some stuff deleted>>... I gave up on the Beanpot years ago. It was fun during the 80's but hardly competitive anymore for Harvard. We really should consider dropping out of the tournament and letting UMass Lowell take our place.

Yes - I am pleased that our Riverhawks are 3-1-1 right now; but the team is lucky they escaped with a win today. They seemed dead tired in the 2nd and most of the 3rd period except for a couple of spurts. Thank you Mr. Kapla for that nice game-winning goal. Mr. Gambardella - I love how you hustle on every shift. Looking forward to UNH next weekend.

Lowell has been bad in the 3 second periods I've seen them play this season. For the game, I thought the defense was solid for most of the game (the goal allowed definitely not included), kamrass played much better than last night (which may have been the worst game of his career), and Smith played well. He wasn't tested all that much until the end but it looked like he came up with two huge saves within the final two minutes.

Don't forget Jeff Smith. He made several huge saves at the end of the game.

I ended up getting the $9.95 stream which is the same video feed on the scoredboard matched up with the Bob Ellis radio feed (complete with the 'off-air' banter during commercial breaks).

The intensity didn't seem to be there throughout all 3 periods, which isn't anything new and isn't a huge surprise after a beat down the previous night.

It's great to see Chapie back in mix. Zink's outside shot is getting dangerous. Smith had 3 solid, confidence building saves that were not only big for this game but a great foundation to build on.

On an unrelated note, and coming from a n00b, but this board is seriously buggy!#!

Agree about Chapie, a nice four point weekend in his first two games. He did a lot of the work on Kapla's game winning goal last night. Zink is really starting to show his offensive side. A couple of goals this weekend and he's looking very confident in the offensive end. I would imagine Smith earned the start Friday night with his play late in the game. Boy did MSU have some good looks.

The team has plenty to work on to get ready for next weekend. Four big league games coming up.

3-1-1 after 5 games. I'll take it.
Yes, especially with the schedule to start the season.

Hopefully the Hawks can continue to get teams like Michigan and Michigan State to come to town. A fun weekend.

We're still awaiting Denver and CC to make the trip out at some point, if I'm not mistaken.

I believe CC comes in next year and Denver the following year. Although that information is rather old.

Some familiar names on the MSU roster last night.
#22 - Forward JT Stenglein (So.) was a Lowell recruit before he decommitted.
#4 - Defenseman Travis Walsh (Jr.) is the son of the late Shawn Walsh. Travis is also an alternate captain for MSU.
