Never thought I would say this but I thought Zink had a very good weekend, the new O-style suits his game. Got a good black and blue from a blocked shot too.
Really liking the aggressive offense zone play, just hope the goalies hold up. Where was the Finn last night?

One thing I really like are the info graphics teams post on twitter after the game. It gives a nice little snapshot of the game. Best one from last night: UNH save percentage. 13 saves on 21 shots for a save % of 61.9

Zink did have a great weekend. He was on ice for 7 of the 10 UML goals scored this weekend. Gold!

Watching the Q/NU stream. Q has the exact same opening video that Lowell has. I mean the same song, shots of players moving in slow motion, shot of the coach, then highlights. Weird.

Don't suppose it's farmed out a third party company

I liked how they used to do the highlights and dub the radio call over the plays. It'd be even better if they combined the interviews like they do this with the goal calls in the past.
I would just settle for simultaneous radio. This crap of being delayed by minutes or a few weekends ago- CAP delaying until AFTER the first period as over, and horrible reception has me totally tuned out and not listening anymore. I used to be riveted to the radio throughout the game. Now- it makes me psycho to listen in the building and don't waste my time when they are away unless the weather is cooperating and I can get the signal clearly (most of the time that is a no go).

Glad they are looking for advertising revenue- Sponsors aren't getting a bang for their buck from me. I have no idea who the sponsors are because I am not listening.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March

QU defeats NU 4-3 today. NU had leads of 2-0 and 3-2 in the game. Lowell better be ready for a desperate (0-6-0) NU team.

Also did Chapie get an invite to a professional development camp? If not, I assume he gets one this year - his is on another level this year

Chapie was at the Calgary Flames development camp this past summer.

So number 6 in the rankings this week and a 4.29 GPG average. So much for "rebuilding" eh?

Love it. So proud to be a fan and my expectations have been smoked. Obviously plenty of season left, but nice to take a moment to appreciate where the team is at.

Very much looking forward to the second half of the season already. I'll enjoy the ride either way.

As I said preseason... Hope to be wrong, so far I am. Things I still have to learn. Just surprised the effect that a coach and change attitudes can have... Even after losing players.

Still a long way to go. Two strong efforts this weekend.

In Hockey East play (3 games): 42.4% SF, 79% GF. Lowell can't keep that up, especially if they continue to get out shot every night.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March

The home white jerseys got some love in the current issue of The Hockey News. They are spotlighted in the Jersey Hound column along with a picture of Zack Kamrass. The column says "The River Hawks have been one of the better college teams in Hockey East the past few years and this season look sharp with new uniforms. The big innovation here comes with the white-on-white shoulders, accented by some nice red and blue striping. The school used to go with a Montreal Canadiens-style look but with the UMass-Lowell font as the logo."
