Probably hard to care when there's little confidence in the one in net. This is horrible and its like they don't care.

Just a tease. Boy, the radio guys are sounding dispirited.2 goals... Signs of life? And then the give up another...
I was saying the same thing last night. The coaching staff must feel that Boyle is their best option. It makes you wonder what's going on with Smith and Kälkäjä. Goaltending has been a concern all season long but I don't put all the blame on Boyle for the recent slide. The Hawks have really struggled lately especially in their defensive zone with costly turnovers and missed assignments. The train is definitely off the tracks. I agree with ScottK that Bazin puts Boyle in because he sees what's going on at practice. But I'm ready to say let's move on. If Smith really is your goalie of the future, then start him. Otherwise we're going into next season with really untested goalies again.

Another tough one tonight. It's too bad the Hawks missed on that penalty shot in the first period to take the lead. Hopefully they can get back on track next weekend.
UMA has some pretty nice offensive players (Vatrano, Kravchenko and Montour) with more in the pipeline.
Mr les said Boyle was pretty impressive last night. Seems to me he has a consistency problem. Flashes of brilliance and then....well, then.....
Leaving that aside NO goalie is invincible if the D hangs them out to dry which was clearly a problem Friday night. Looks like we are having the rebuilding year that we thought we were going to skate by.
Definitely agree with the consistency problem. He was pretty **** good in the second period on Friday, but just seems to lose it at times.Mr les said Boyle was pretty impressive last night. Seems to me he has a consistency problem. Flashes of brilliance and then....well, then.....
It's amazing they're still in the PWR picture (15) with the way things have been going. We are still in third place, but only one point ahead of PC and two of ND, both having 2 games in hand on us. You don't want to fall out of the top four and then potentially have to go to ND for the second round. Gotta fix it soon...
