UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

How did you go? I'm planning to take 93 to 110 and cross over the river at Bridge St. I live pretty close to 93 otherwise I'd attempt Rt 3 but I have a feeling it will be easier to deal with 93N traffic.

I would avoid 93 N going to route 110. It's complete gridlock 4:30 to 6:00 PM on Fridays between 495 and 110 because of construction. Better off trying 495S to Rt 133 but check the traffic online before you decide. I work on River Road in Andover (just before the bridge on 93) and I take River Road through Tewksbury to 133.

Totally forgot about that construction at that rotary at 93 and 110/113. Crap. I could get off 93 at 133 I suppose.

There are plenty of parking meters that charge a flat $5.00 rate on game nights on Father Morissette Blvd as well as the neighborhood between the arena and LeLacheur Park where Beer Works is. Also, next to beer works there is a pay lot on Hall St ($10 I believe). The sidewalks may still be snow filled and icy, so be prepared for that.

I'm expecting severe traffic and am going to try and leave work an hour earlier than I normally would.

Many of these on-street spaces are inaccessible as although streets are plowed, they aren't to full width (at least as of late yesterday) in the areas around the arena so those spaces might not be available. Strongly advising early arrival and parking in garage if massive snow removal efforts weren't undertaken last night in that area to make the spaces usable.

They did a lot of snow removal in the last 24 hours in downtown (my commute was much better for it this morning). Not sure about over by the arena but they've known all week that attendance was going to be high for this game so hopefully it will be cleared out by this afternoon.

Did I see somewhere that tonight's game will be on TV or am I imagining that?

Been sold out for a couple of weeks. They are selling Standing Room tickets.

This was known all year but they got away with it for the 1st half of the season.
This is what I expected to see at the beginning of the yr. I think the horse shoe has fallen completely our of our a55. No puck luck either.
