UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

to add... the camera had a rear view for the beginning of the first... which gave a nice view of the first goal... goalie had the left hand side open, defenseman screened him, and the shooter (I forget) found the hole just as it was scripted.

ND is still playing very good... ND's goalie is iffy... Lowell buried all their chances... and again... long way to go
That third goal was nice.

Starting to feel like yesterday where the team gives up on intensity

Done... 6-4...

Long way to go for an NCAA bid but we're off to Boston.

Phew.

Ref pair was fascinating. Hopefully they aren't available for next weekend. I keep waiting for McGrath to score. He is everywhere.

And the play by Gambo with no stick was amazing!

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

Fantastic play!

Even though it was a small crowd this afternoon it was loud and a lot of fun.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

UVM with the win over BC means we don't have to face BU in the semis! Who-hoo!

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

More time to pregame Friday😄

heh... still not sure who decides that... means I can take less time off from work... no, I won't be coming up but I'll probably host the local alum event

Bob and Jim said on the post game that BU gets to decide which time they want to play Friday. So while it's not a given, most teams choose early time to get a few hours extra rest and a set routine. They won't want potential first game OT's to disrupt their usual routines.

I hit delete instead of edit... Oops. All that matters is that we're back at the Garden!

Even just the uncertainty of the ending time in regulation is something they'd like to avoid. I don't know if ice quality is a factor in choosing the first game or not.
PC ties it up just over a minute into the 3rd period.
****. I think I'd like UNH to win but my big wish of not facing BU on Friday has been achieved so we'll just see what happens.

I like Lowell's chances in either match-up. I actually like their chances for a HE three-peat.

I'm still skeptical based on just how dominant BU is. Unless UNH or UVM knocks them out in a huge upset I see us being 2nd.

Lowell vs. Vermont... and away we go!

UNH defeats PC in OT 2-1. It's UVM on Friday night.
