Safe travels to all those heading to the Centennial State. Wish I could be there but I hope that the boys can make this a fruitful trip. Plan to watch the DU game online.

On the Athletic Dept's Facebook page there is a post underneath a picture of a Tampa Bay Lightning jersey:

DEVELOPING STORY: Stay tuned to GoRiverHawks.com for an update.

Obviously involves Roloson, but what does it mean? Good teaser, I'll be refreshing the page every 15 minutes at least.

Via Lowell Sun's Twitter: 16-year NHL goalie Dwayne #Roloson joins UMass Lowell hockey staff, pending end of the NHL lockout. Roloson starred at UML in early 1990s.

Great to hear Roloson will be helping out. He's a great name to have on the bench and will hopefully be able to help the goalies improve (as I type this, Denver just went up 5-1, so maybe some goaltending help is needed. Looking forward to seeing Carr get the start tomorrow).

Not as bad a game as the score indicated tonight, but still a couple of worrying things if they turn into trends. Too many penalties and not much of an offensive punch. Good to work out the kinks through only one conference game and an out of conference road trip and absolutely no need to panic after only a couple games, but with two against BC, two against Maine, one against UNH and one out in Amherst coming soon, the next few weeks are very important. This one's just about done, so let's hope for a much better game tomorrow night at CC, especially for those of you who made the trip out west.

These aren't "kinks". This is a trend. Two games played. Two goals on 77 shots. 12 penalties for 35 minutes.

And on what god forsaken planet do you not start one of the top goalies in the country? Someone explain that to me in a way that makes sense. How does Carr not start that game? There's no excuse for it.

Much closer game than the score. The 2 PP goals turned the tide for DU.
Good Luck tomorrow and skin those kitty kats in the springs.

Has anyone seen Scott Wilson? Sophomore slump much? Zero shots on goal against Denver. Better luck against CC :rolleyes:

Just a guess but perhaps Norm has a plan to start Connor against one of the games with BC next week or for that matter big games with Maine and UNH next month? As far as first performance pretty good first two periods for him but that first pp goal in the 3rd definitely shook him up a bit.

The penalties need to stop, been ongoing since the exhibition game and it still continues. Lets hope the guys can follow through with their shots tomorrow.
