Here are my locks for the week.

Game 1: Maine 0 Lowell 4

Game 2: Maine 1 Lowell 5

While I wouldn't mind that, I think this is unrealistically optimistic. We will be facing Joey Diamond, River Hawk killer. If we outscore them by more than 3 goals in the series, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Joey Diamond scares me unless he does something exceedingly stupid like he did in the UNH series and warms the inside of the penalty box for an extended period of time. Brilliant and stupid at the same time.

If we play our game and play with passion we will be just fine... unless the Wakefield Whistle and Woodwind Ensemble decides to make a repeat performance

Well hopefull the Catamounts show up BC for us as a sign of revenge

Well if the series gets to game 3, NESN might show it as they show a game on sunday.

Sad to see Chaz leaving... If we play the way we did on saturday (not counting the 10 penalties, Thank you again Shea) we should dominate this series in my eyes.
One thing that Chaz and Bob pointed out a while back, UML is one of the best teams in the nation at scoring with under five minutes left in a period.... i know some may see that as a pointless stat, but to me it shows more than just goal scoring... it shows heart and determination.

Diamond has yet to see Connor Hellebuyck. Even with that, 3+ goal wins have been rare for Lowell this year so I agree that is hard to pick a 3+ goal win.

I see the same thing.. We have played much better than we did a month ago! I see the 3 stars as:
1) Hellebuyck
2) Pendenza
3) Folin

Wouldnt it be a nice gift though to see Suter and Kamrass have jolts in their offensive games like they did in the playoffs last year.

Lowell had 8 wins by 3 or more goals. And at least two of those were actually due to ENG as well. Of course, two were against Amherst.

Anyway, going to copy and paste what I posted on a different site, since I keep seeing how hot Maine is, and how Lowell is going to lose this series...

Not questioning that Maine is playing well. But so is Lowell. You want to say Maine is playing really well, but in the last few weeks they played BU at home (T/L), 2 at UMass (W/L), NU at home twice (W/T), and obviously at UNH twice (W/T). Lowell in that same time frame swept UMass and BU back to back weekends, won at BC, swept Merrimack, lost to PC on Friday, before winning Saturday. No question that Lowell had a much tougher season ending schedule and going 9-1 is better than what Maine did. I'm not saying Maine can't win, but it seems many on here are saying Lowell can't.

Well seeing as I personally talked to him that night.... He said it was concussion like symptoms. He seemed to have been fine

Alright, since we have about....56 hours until puck drop, lets take a look at the other QF games in Hockey East.

I think no team will get a sweep to be honest.
BC will beat UVM but UVM will put a fight up. UVM takes the second game, but BC will be BC.
The Mack will pull off the upset of BU. first game will go to BU but MC will blow them out on Sunday.
Provi will beat a slumping UNH team. UNH takes the middle game in OT.

I agree that UNH loses but I believe it will be by a sweep. Even though they are one of the least penalized teams.... PC will show UNH's weaknesses (thus UNH takes dumb penalties) Because I just don't like the Mack, I think they lose to BU, it will go three. Also I see BC winning in three.

I knew there was something just a little bit off about that Bill Arnold kid @ BC. Apparently he's been playing on the Eagles Hockey team for at least 10 years (must be using various pseudonyms to keep his NCAA eligibility) according to Hockey East's weekly release.

I'd like to see him in at least one of the games... very stout defensively and he blocks a TON ..... and I mean a TON of shots.

Not sure if it was mentioned, Lowell finished 11th nationally in attendance. Everyone above them played more home games (Denver got 6 more home games in than Lowell).
