Pretty sure the facilities are going to be upgraded next year for the players,etc. And the scoreboard 110% needed to be replaced, the old one was trash and way old. You could barely see any replays or advertisements, which as you know, bring in money for the university. Plus this one will have live scores of other games.

Ads I can understand. Scores are available on the phones everyone is looking at during the games :)
 
They'd be way ahead by handing everyone coming through the door a free and cheap bluetooth headset lol.
 
For whatever it’s worth. Somebody posted pictures of the new scoreboard and rink on the Facebook page and Duda is in the pics practicing.
 
This spring was at the softball and baseball diamonds and they both had NEW PA's put in. They worked great with a little fune tuning, and I do understand it was outside...but/and hopefully the same company is putting in the Alfond arena system and they make it work....I hope so.

Those games wouldn't pay a small fraction (if anything?) of what UMaine is getting to sub in for Oklahoma.

It's all about the Benjamin$ this time. Hmmm ... seedy services for a fee ... isn't there a word for that???

I guess, but factor in the travel fees/etc...and more or less your not cashing in too big either...but oh well that's the football programs problem...hockey season is not all that far away...September the end of the week then October is knocking at the door...
 
The coaches will be on the ice with the players this week. If anyone is on campus, we might get first look at the lines.
 
UM ticket office is a madhouse this morning.....single game tix on sale including the coveted UNH exhibition game at Colby on 10/7. $20 for Maine/UNH...Colby arena looks awesome with about 75% chair back seating....1,796 capacity. Got my tickets....good luck!

Love to hear it! Expectations are high. Can’t remember the last time we had expectations like this but probably was the 10/11 season when Nyquist announced he was returning.

Good sign on expectations and nice to see the Alfond with most seats full during the season....October on the HORIZON..!!!!!!
 
The tickets for the Bentley game in Portland are on sale as well. Two sections are already sold out

Just a warning that if you buy online you'll be paying extortion to Ticketmaster. $48 of fees on $100 of tickets. It would be cheaper for me to take the train to Portland, bus over to the Civic Center, grab a bite in the Old Port, bus back to the station and ride the train home.
 
Twitter page posted about the white helmets coming back this year. Been over 10 years now since Maine wore those so nice to see them returning.

He is@ Orono and practicing...but still in the hands of the NCAA...sorry to be vague on it...but from what I am hearing it is a complicated matter...myself I don't think he plays at all this season...but a little info for you.
 
By the sounds of it, Swayman also made his trek back to Orono to practice with the team. Glad this is now a yearly thing for him.

If he is practicing there is a chance he plays . Good news if you ask me. I'm sure anything to do with the NC$$ is complicated
