Gotta feel for BU a bit in this scenario but if they’re serious about bracket integrity it probably looks something like this.

i also dunno if its better to travel and maybe get an MSU team thats even-ish or be close to home with a big crowd but climb a much tougher hill

This is 100000% incorrect.... nowhere close to what the brackets will be and you have a team in that didn't make it and missing a team. Let the experts take care of this for you.

Here's what I had come up with.

Providence:
Boston College (1) vs Michigan Tech
Wisconsin vs Quinnipiac

Springfield:
Michigan State (4) vs Massachusetts
Maine vs Cornell

Missouri:
Boston University (2) vs Western Michigan
North Dakota vs Michigan

Sioux Falls:
Denver (3) vs Rochester
Minnesota vs Omaha

BU gets absolutely demolished in this scenario. Not only do they get sent to purgatory in Missouri, they miss out on playing RIT (21 PWR) to play Western (13 PWR) to avoid WMU and Denver in the first round.

Apologies if you were offended, I updated it as soon as I noticed. Just people speculating, no need to get your panties in a bunch.

This would be a dream scenario for Maine imo. Nothing against those other teams but being away from the BC and BU regions in addition to not getting sent west would be great.

I think that you nailed it.

The NCAA could swap the 1 seeds for
Denver vs UMass (Springfield)
Michigan State vs Western Michigan (Missouri)
Boston University vs RIT (Sioux Falls)

Maine has more.penalties than Cornell this year ..do they just get away with more?

I think it might have something to do with the refs knowing that Cornell's style is very hands-on, and as a result letting stuff go in deference to Schafer (he's been there 20 years) but IDK.

I am surprised that they have drawn fewer penalties than has had Maine, though.

I am returning home from Lake Placid and I think they get away with murder. Refs can’t call everything and they know it and they take advantage of that fact. Protect your bros.

Iowa is stuck 10-20 years in the past. The most recent teams have had more skilled and fast-skating players, which, along with strong goaltending and Schafer's emphasis on defense and tenacity, is a huge part of the reason that the team has had multiple NCAA appearances in recent years. This longstanding, ancient idea that Cornell is a dirty, oversized team is ridiculous and misleading. I'm looking forward to seeing how they match up with Maine if the committee decides to place the two together in Springfield.
