UMaine Black Bears, 2017-2018 season, is this Reds last stand?

I'm very happy with 4-6 at this stage and think Maine has put themselves in great position to finish .500. The schedule in the second half is much easier and the games that really county are against UNH, UMass, and Merrimack. Those are the games Maine needs to win.
You forgot UVM. That should be another two wins for ya!

I feel your pain, but Maine isn't a prohibitive favorite against anyone...

Sure, they need to beat the other bad teams to even have a sniff, but they really need to beat what better teams remain on their schedule.

I think they'll come around a bit as the season goes on, ideally after they play Maine! In all seriousness, those are two huge games for Maine. It would be nice to take all four points and need at least two.

I agree, I'd bet Maine won't sweep vermont, if history predicts the future Maine makes the Vermont goalie look like a brick wall on one of those nights

Any video streaming options for the Belfast games?

According to the Vermont thread, Lekkas is the only guy pulling his weight this year, so that very well could happen.

I guess first game is over, motor cycle racing on nesn. Clarkson wins first. I hope Maine shows up

Too many men, what the heck was that. it wasn't even close.

Just like Americans shouldn't be allowed to call football games, irishmen shouldn't be allowed to call hockey games. The accent is brutal. What happened to Doherty and Hamilton?

Nice penalty in O zone, so far it looks like a typical PC Maine game of the last few years

That's what, already the fourth or fifth TMM penalty against Maine this season? It's disgraceful that we've had even one, let alone that many. Great reflection on Red, eh?

Yeah, its happened since he took over if I remember correctly

How did Tralmaks miss that

Bad play by Perez led to that goal.

He better be sitting in the stands tomorrow night, such a stupid play. Maine has looked pretty comfortable most of the game too.

Not that either of them really need to be in the lineup with Doherty and Westerlund on the roster, but I've always thought Hayes played the same style of Perez and did it better.

Big sheet of ice... let's play the speed demons Perez, Housakos, and Becker

Perez is good for one takedown every game, he can't keep up. Too bad as Red seems to play him no matter what

Another day another loss for Maine hockey. I don't care how good swayman is, you can't win if you don't score
