Well "IF" Vermont was scouting Maine for next weekend and listening/watching the Maine/RPI game then you can bet they will be shooting high and glove side on Swayman...after listening/watching the announcers, and sure enough that was what RPI was doing any chance they had...and watching the replays on the goals...looks like Swayman when they do shoot high and glove side does not re-act quickly to that kind of shoot...as I said before...will be a learning process and hopefully the Staff/Michuad will be working on that part of his {Swayman} game.
Yes indeed and both Freshman goaltenders played very well in this Tourney...RPI's suffered two losses but faced a lot of rubber and did well to keep his team in the games. Maine's Swayman did well also and gained more confidence and experience this week. Both games @ RPI should be more of the same as today... scores like 2-1, 3-1 games. Both teams don't have high octane offense's...Beautiful goal by Pinho yesterday on Swayman's glove side. He literally "threaded the needle". Not sure if Swayman even saw it.
Maine gets to play RPI two more times on their ice. Should get to know one another pretty well.
How did Maine miss open net in 2nd on beautifully executed 2 on 1. Holinsky (sp?) And not sure who did everything but score. That's enough to make me drink. It's unreal how bad this team is in other teams end. They should have blown rpi off the ice. It's been this way for years I keep hoping something will change.
Props to swayman, he did well this weekend.
Wonder what lineup will play Friday?
Robbins goal was a beauty. I want a Doherty Pieper Robbins line.

This is amazing, good for Sean. Coaching at UMaine, another exampleOn a side note, former Black Bear: Sean Romeo @ Ohio State coutinues to play well in net...stats @ 7-3-3 - GAA 1.70 - Save % .931
A little consistency in the lineup would be nice and could go a long way. Maybe a lineup of something like this could be interesting:
Fossier-Pearson-Trailmaks
Vesey-Lacroix-Shea
Robbins-Pieper-Dohrety
Westerlund-Holesinsky-Smith
Hamilton-Keeper
Holway-Binner
Michel-Muhelbauer
Swayman
McGovern

His last season at Maine he got no chance of starting and just a few mop up minutes...but he stood tall and never complained, even when he transferred he only said he wondered why he never got a chance but was grateful to the Staff and moved on and not throwing anyone under the Bus. He's got his chance now @ Ohio State and hoping he does well and gets a chance @ playing in the NCAA's this coming season.I believe he got hurt at some point in the USHL and wonder if maybe the time off helped him. I think it was a knee injury but could be wrong. He was supposed to be decent when he committed and it seemed like he struggled after the injury.

Surprised???? A goalie from Manitoba recruited by a Maine coach and former goalie from Manitoba.
Fun Saturday, going to the women's game at noon then out for pizza and beer before the men's game at 5 p.m. I'm kind of excited to see a women's game for the first time with free admission (donations only) raising funds for the Ashley Wade Foundation that helps kids with Crohn's disease.
I might go also, have stuff to do but its a great cause. Maine has had players with Crohns. just a few years back, his name will come to me?? Matt Light played for Patriots, he has Crohns. I have Ulcerative Colitis. So I have some idea how debilitating IBD can be.
Connor Leen, that's the guy. ThanksConnor Leen. Darren Fletcher and Lewis Moody are a couple other athletes who have Crohn's/Colitis.
What's with the stoppages in play, tv timeout without tv
