Last night's tie confirmed the old adage. The only thing worse than a 1 goal lead is a two goal lead.

Maine got goals from the third and fourth lines last night. It’d be nice to have a bit more on the top couple lines, but I’m thrilled to have a team with some depth this year.
There is more depth. A couple nice goals last night, yes.

What is killing me is the north/south play and the dumping in, when they arent all that good on the boards.

I lost track of how many times, on an offensive rush, the defensive player with the puck coming through the neutral zone had a lane to skate it in but stopped and flipped it in deep then just fell back to defense. That tells me Red has them on a leash where he has concerns forwards cant play a little d or the d cant handle the puck. Except holway and michel.

A lot of it has to do with how long the line has been on the ice. It's important to keep shifts short and if anything I think Maine should try harder to keep them shorter. The first line was on the ice for over a minute in OT and almost got caught out.

You forgot one important element. Shift changes without having a penalty.

My example was for without a shift change included

Tralmaks not playing, Binner is

Binner takes first penalty and UVM up 1 zip. I wouldn't be shocked if Maine gets shut out

Maine scores on 5 on 3, 1 1

Maine should be up 2-1, Doherty, lots of pushing and shoving afterwards, 4 ea to the box, never seen that before
2 guys kicked out, Shea and some Vermont punk :)

Not sure how Maine ended up short handed out of all that.

UVM getting better chances shorthanded then Maine on PP

Swayman needed to make that save but didn't 3-2
