What is killing me is the north/south play and the dumping in, when they arent all that good on the boards.
I lost track of how many times, on an offensive rush, the defensive player with the puck coming through the neutral zone had a lane to skate it in but stopped and flipped it in deep then just fell back to defense. That tells me Red has them on a leash where he has concerns forwards cant play a little d or the d cant handle the puck. Except holway and michel.
A lot of it has to do with how long the line has been on the ice. It's important to keep shifts short and if anything I think Maine should try harder to keep them shorter. The first line was on the ice for over a minute in OT and almost got caught out.
You forgot one important element. Shift changes without having a penalty.
