Merrimack wins in ot. Great pass up ice caught Maine on a line change.

Ouch. Maine showed great fight back and lost.

The defense tonight outside of Keeper was miserable. Forwards were pretty good honestly, Fossier had one hell of a game.

Its always good to lose to the last place team in your league at home. Maine played as well as they could, tremendous effort put forth by all the players. Swayman was terrific as was the defense. What more can you ask. Perfectly played by Maine

Real fans are blind and say yay! no matter what the scoreboard says! We dont need evidence that things are getting better we just say “they will be” and it makes it so!

Remember, only positivity!

Its been a long time coming. Look at how great Red had the team prepared, he is starting to look more and more like Herb Brooks. Its good to see how great Maine really is.

Yes. We sit in fifth and lost to last place team. Let's tuck tail and run.

Fact, someone said "I'd be happy if they got a road win".

Fact, someone said "I'd be happy if they won more than 10 games.".

Fact, Maine is sitting in fifth. And they have a tough road to go. Which means a few extra home games.

Fact, second youngest team in hockey east wth a lot of chance to improve.

Those are facts. But we have to hear how crappy it is to lose in ot at home to Merrimack. I know.

People will forget winning at BU on their ice 3-0.

Enjoy.

Well, I am not sure of the subs and why starting fourth line. Seems like a message or something.

Here's good news: UMass cannot finish above Maine so Maine can finish no worse than 10th. Woot!

Does Maine play like the Steelers; down to their competition?

Re: UMaine Black Bears, 2017-2018, reds last stand part 2

Should finish in top 8 but wouldn't surprise me to see a red coached team collapse and not make it.

All facts, no question. The problem with your argument is, once you see some improvement you want it to continue. So what was thought preseason or after a few games is out the window now. Maine came out flat, simple as that. They played better as game went on, no doubt. Hard to be mad at Swayman, but this wasn't his best game, nor was last night. Tired? I have no clue, he couldn't keep a puck in his glove in the 1st. Lacroix may be a bigger factor than I think. Coach's decision? Or injury, I thought he looked off last night?

In the end does it really matter? Not really, it's all entertainment. Posting on here is a way to talk some hockey with some Maine fans. And guess what like most things in life it won't be all sunshine and roses

Was at a local game tonight so I missed the Maine stream, but what you say about the D has been a theme for a long while. Maine has a good group of forwards, but the blueliners make so many easily-avoidable mistakes.

Is there anything more simple than coaching defensive positioning? And why can't Red get that done?
