I'm trying to email insidecollegehockey.com and both emails listed on their site are bouncing back. Anyone know how to contact them?

In their listing of single season goalie win averages they do not have Mike Dunham listed, though he should be there.

Thanks.

Apparently WABI interviewed Tim on tonights news about the haters. I didn't see it but I guess he said the haters would be better off helping the less fortunate and they are putting pressure on the players who want to win bad enough now. The haters are hating on Tim, not the players

Tim Whitehead is a dooche. It's still about the players and not about his job performance. Again........what a DOOCHE!

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

For a guy that many say is such a "nice guy" and "class act".......Whitehead sure can be an arrogant d*ck that skirts his responsibilities and cannot seem to accept ANY amount of criticism without resorting to battling "internet nutcases" though radio and newspaper interviews.......what a P*SSY!

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

Only three active players in HE with 100 points and only one other is close (Vallorani at UML). Abbott and Flynn aren't the problem. I could care less what line they would have been on in the late 90s/early 00s. The problem is terrible goaltending, terrible defense and a serious lack of depth up front. Oh, and I almost forgot, a terrible coach who can't recruit and can't game plan.

And can't take RESPONSIBILITY!

Today's 2011-2012 Cost per Win Watch (based on $170K salary):

6 wins = $28,333.33 per win

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

Are you high?

Might have been a little harsh, true enough... But I was putting that comment in the context of Maine's championship teams, and those that seriously contended for one here and there.

In the net, we're looking at a team that is pretty much as hopeless as the worst Whitehead team ever, though.

Re-watching the BU game last night with a critical eye wasn't very encouraging. Good Lord, even the veteran D played cluelessly, and Sully is no better than a 2nd back-up on a good team, at best.

Maine hockey is a mess right now.

He's worried,he knows that it's not the Posters...BUT the A.D. is doing the watching right now and has been since last year...if he feels the heat of online Posters bet come the end of the season he may really find out who to fear and he's right in his back-yard. He won't care if he's Bought out or Fired...he'll pocket his 2 yrs pay...he'll nab a job somewhere's either in scouting or as a Assistant....but as long as he leaves then it will be good for both (Himself & UMaine Hockey Program).

It has been a Mess and will continue to be one right thru the end of this season...no sugar coating that fact. Frustrating is the word, especially when everyone can see and knows the PROBLEM at hand...(Whitehead)

I think when you are the back up and you have infinitely more losses than the other guy... ;)

Maybe so, and he was a good player at Maine, one of my favorites, but certainly never set the world on fire. He did have size though, which may have helped explain his high draft position.

yup... I think it might have been his personality... missing some of the fire... just the opposite of MOntgomery... all fire and no size (remember Kariya was the tallest player on his line in 93... at 5'10)

I think the pretty serious broken leg he suffered as a sophomore(?) might have played some part in that.

Still gotta give him props for his remarkanble goal in 1988 that gave Maine their first HE championship.

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

I think a problem with recruiting is I heard they started recruiting small because the big kids don't make it 4 years. But a lot of the small guys aren't real speedy or have special hands and then they get pushed around by big teams. They may want to start taking some bigger kids.

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

I think TIMMAY started going small when a lot of the other teams, like BC and BU, were having a lot of success with their smaller skilled forwards. Problem is, their small forwards were more skilled, speedier, and a whole lot tougher than the small guys TIMMAY ended up with. Plus, they had a lot of big guys, especially on defense, to do some of the dirty work, beat on the other teams physically, and keep those guys out of trouble.

Yep, TIMMAY, it's still only about a small group of internet nutcases who will never be satisfied, and know nothing about hockey. Doesn't have anything at all to do with the fact that you're a egomaniac, selfcentered crappy coach. Even the internet nutcases aren't stupid enough to play Keenan Hopson or Matt Mangene at defense. But oh, genius TIMMAY, he knows so much more than we do.

It's also a lack of accountability on his part. He doesn't take responsibility for making those stupid moves, but will gladly point to Bishop/Sweetland/Purcell/Nyquist leaving as the reasons we're not a Hockey East power anymore instead of actually pointing the blame at himself. How many times have we heard Tim stand up and say he is the reason we lost a game? I can't think of a single time.
