Agree with most everyone on here too about the defense, just nothing back there. Nobody can move the puck , no real skill- just nothing. If you guys think this year is bad just wait for next year without Abbott and Flynn- and with no real talent in the freshmen/sophomore class- I see it getting a lot worse.

FWIW, all of us BU fans who were there thought that call on Flynn was complete BS. When I first saw it, I thought it was a borderline minor that would probably get called. He didn't even hit the BU player into the boards from what I remember. Couldn't see what Timmay did or didn't do in response to the call, but either way, it was a horrendous call and certainly hurt your team.

It's honestly sad to see where Maine has fallen under Timmay, and while we all like to joke about how much we love him, it's bad for the conference to not have Maine be a power. I didn't really notice just the problems a lot of you talk about until the other night when I saw an uninspired, underconditioned, and, at times, lost group of players on the ice. BU came off a game Thursday night and two exhausting games against BC the weekend before, compared to Maine's one game that weekend, and we were skating right by you in the third period even while the game was still tied. Some Maine fans told us at the game they've heard this is Timmay's last year, that the new AD will actually give him the axe. For your sake, hopefully it happens.

Its way too soon to say something like that about the younger group. I would love to see what a new coach could do for the future team ( although it would be even better to see what a difference it could make this year) These kids are uninspired and scared to make a mistake when they are out there from the fourth line freshmen to O'neill. In the games that I have seen there are sparks of intelligent and passionate hockey... key to being a GOOD WINNING coach is bringing that out in all your players all the time. It just will not happen this year and therefore we are not able to see the real potential of these kids.

Whitehead doesn't stick up for his players. He must like the shaft.

Whitehead stinks, but the players aren't good either with the exception of 10, 13, 27, 39...Whitehead's fault for not recruiting better talent. All this crap about the team being talented and Whitehead holding them back is laughable. The team has one line, no goaltending, no coaching.

Corkum knows how to recruit... and I would comepletly diagree with your selection of the best players.... Abbot and Flynn are up there but you have got to be kidding me about O'neill

I feel bad for Will, he doesn't look good at all. He was used all Saturday night, he got beat by speed, forgot to lift Gills stick and he was on the ice for Trivinos goal when Sully dropped the lobbed shot. Not sure what the deal is but he doesn't look good.

10 and 13 were walkons............do not know about 39..........Tells you about the confidence in recruiting decisions..........and judge of talent

Abbott was recruited and Flynn was recruited walkon if I remember correctly. The recruiting overall has been a train wreck especially the fr and soph classes who have almost zero production. When we finally get rid of the idiot running the program whoever takes over will have a BIG mess on their hands to turn around.

YES a Big Mess and a NEW COACH will have his hands full,but a New Coach will be fine...it will be a rebuilding process but I can live with that instead of the same old/same old TW show.

While I don't think the talent level is super, there's certainly enough there for this team to be competitive. They're certainly more talented then some of the teams from the early part of this decade, the teams with Shephard, Jankus and the like, and the Bellamy, Hopson, Ryan teams. But fundamentally, they're terrible, even strength offensively, but especially on defense and goaltending. One has to wonder just how diifferent this team would look if Grant, Guy and Campbell were still here, even with TIMMAY still at the helm. But TIMMAY thought he knew it all, and chased those guys away from the program. And now he's reaping what he sowed.

This team isn't even enjoyable to watch, even when they do win. Even the 2004 team, which was kinda dull offensively, was fun to watch, just to marvel at the precision tenacity they had executing that offense. Dump the puck in, then go beat up the other guys in the corner and get it back. Just ruthless in their efficiency, and their never say die work ethic.

What's Perron doing these days, anyway?
