I'm not hearing glowing reports about Abbott (the AD, not the hockey player). I'm meeting with one of his assistants tomorrow so we'll see.

I don't know how anyone can make an educated guess about how the Hockey East race will take shape. There could still be a 5-way tie for first place AND a 3-way tie for 6th, with 9th place being just a point out. My WAG at this point is BC wins the league crown because they still have three games with Vermont. Lowell has three with Merrimack, two with Vermont and BU and host Maine so they will either finish second or fifth. The points are there for them. BU, Maine and Merrimack go down to the wire for the last two home ice spots. I think Maine will finish 5-1-1 in league and get the #3 seed thanks to the tb with BU and host Northeastern or Providence in the 1/4. Friday night they'd draw Lowell or BU at the Garden and, if they win, a rematch with BC in the final. I think they get into the NCAAs as the 3 seed in Worcester and from there anything can happen.

But they could just as easily fall apart, end up 5th in Hockey East, get swept at Merrimack and just miss the NCAAs. A lot will be determined this weekend as MC and Lowell play two of their games in hand.

Still don't understand what you are saying here. Not hearing glowing reports about Abbott from WHO regarding WHAT? Or did you mean to say "glowing reports FROM Abbott???

I have heard that he was in the political world too long and that he plays favorites among the coaching staffs. I don't know if that is true but tomorrow I'll have a chance to see for myself.

Ah yes Tim's fault tonight, but last 4 games team ignored Tim and played on their own. I'm no longer an apologist but c'mon man! No question you win 4 in a row vs. the likes of BC and BU and it is going to be tough to get up for this game. Hopefully 1st period was a wake-up call and they rebound in the 2nd!

TIMMAY must have taken the coaching reins back from Corkum this week.

I never said they've ignored TIMMAY and did it on their own. I figure TIMMAY let Corkum do a lot more on the ice for the gameplan. Now that he's got the four big wins, and is feeling all cocky and superior again, TIMMAY's back in charge, his way or the highway.

Yeah, doing much better in the second. TIMMAY really told them!!!!

UAH lost two one-goal games to the #1 team in the country, so there's no excuse for the players to be looking past them, or thinking this was gonna be a cakewalk. A good coach would make sure that didn't happen. A good coach.

Team's already forgotten the "lessons" they learned a few weeks ago. And last year. And the year before that. I'm sure they'll tell us all about it in the paper tomorrow.

Well this is just brutal tonight! The ONLY positive is it is a non-hockey east game and hopefully serves as a wake-up call. But this is on the players. I'm sure the coaches harped all week on not taking UAH lightly, but mentally obviously the team was not prepared. And again this is on the players, coaches can only stress and harp, players have to show the attitude, they were cocky and got what they deserved.

Bad thing about this weekend is after all the good habits and effort you develop bad ones and they definitely will need to get out of this funk. But at 3-0 going to the 3rd don't hold out much hope tonight. Why is it any time I start to get optimistic they pull this kind of #&^%!

Cause TIMMAY's incapable of preventing it. As you say, the coaches may not have gotten through to them. And that's one of TIMMAY's big problems, he can't command the attention and respect of his players.

Bingo. The players were up for BC and BU without any help, and obviously not for these guys. Its the coaches job to make sure they come out strong in the first so a poor team doesnt get confident, doesnt even get a sniff. Whitehead failed again at this. Man, this is pretty disgusting display

This is the Brown game at the Civic Center all over again, what now, 6-7 years ago? All the players are different, coaching staff is largely different, what's the one constant?

Win or lose or tie, these guys DID ditz around for 40 minutes and played only 20 minutes, not counting OT
