Maine on PP, gives up several 2 on 1s. Now they take penalty

Terrible puck handling by Michel and Binner. I find myself hollaring a lot when Binner is out there. He tends to mishandled the puck a lot resulting in odd man rushes. Either that or falls down and let guy go in on goalie alone. I wish these guys could be more careful and focus to eliminate these mistakes.

Tralmaks goes to the net front and good things happened.

Maine 3-2 with 9 minutes left.

Maine to the power play

Re: UMaine '18-'19: Back to the Nationals!

Maine has about 5 guys who can handle the puck. the rest are straight up grinders.

Another OT game. It at least is exciting. Lots of funny bounces where stuff it developing. I think Vermont hit the pipe twice when they had open nets as Swayman was floundering.

Certain people ;) were outraged by my assessment of Binner last year, but he makes far too many mental mistakes in the low slot while in traffic, if you ask me.

Whatever, hockey got 3 road-points and football kicked some serious touchis. It was a very good day to be a Bear.

Im thinking swayman goes down too much and early. ??

Ayuh.

But there's enough talent on this team to be > .500, if not quite an NCAA contender. The grinders just need to play smarter. (Calling Red on that one.)

He played decent, definitely kept Maine in it in the second period. He faced several odd man rushes that period. The one goal I thought was soft evidently got redirected. Couldn't tell that well from the view of the camera, but it got redirected. The Michel/Binner pairing makes me nervous.

There is no doubt he is playing worse this season. As is Keeper. Though I thought Keeper was better today. Very nice goal. On one play where it looked like he got burnt for a breakaway he recovered well and broke up that rush.

I would like to see more of Spicer. Overall it is hard to identify a player that is better than last season. Maybe Pearson and Smith?

#7 Maine vs. #2 Weber St. in Ogden, Utah. I think these two teams match up very well. The Wildcats defensive backs scare me a little. I think this will be a very close game.

I'm a lot more concerned with Weber's WR's. Maine has talented corners, but they're small, and Maine almost always plays man.

I'm hoping that Coach H brings the rush on every obvious passing situation, no matter the score. The Maine D-line and 'backers are a pack of rabid hyenas wearing helmets. No team all year long has stopped them when they pin 'em back and go for the throat. When Maine drops back in coverage, it never seems to work as well.
