Thats assuming the Gophers win both games in hand. Could still 5 points back if they lose both. Either way, I agree it's not a must sweep weekend for them.

I understand that. But that isn't what he said. He said a sweep this weekend is necessary to have a chance to win the conference. If they split, and the Gophers win their games in hand, the Gophers are still just one game back. If the Gophers take 3pts this weekend, then win their games in hand, the teams will be tied.

Well, I agree there. If this series splits, the race is still very much on.

It is going to be great next Saturday after the game when Gopher fans realize they are behind SCSU by 9 points. HUSKIES SWEEP!

Faragher has been lights out as of late. I know that his hot streak could come to an end at anytime, but I don't think it will be this coming weekend. SCSU sweeps the Gophers and the Gophers go down 9 points. Go HUSKIES!!!

How many points will the Gophers be down, allegedly? I am not so good with the math.

I suppose if you repeat something enough, it becomes true to one's self.

I think 3 pts this weekend and The Gophs are as much in the driver's seat as SCSU.

And for those of you who have the rest of the season planned out, victories and losses never seem to go as predicted. I remember last season towards the end, the Gophs would go from one game, where they won and looked like they would cruise, to suddenly a night where they lost and others won, and all of a sudden it was up in the air again. There are still too many games left to predict what will happen regardless of this weekend, other than that is SCSU sweeps, they will be in the driver seat and tough to dethrone.

Just a couple more Gopher fans that have no class. Can't just keep the discussion about hockey. Have to start insulting people and assuming other people are trailer trash just to feel better about themselves. This was the first time I have ever posted on this site and it will be the last time I do so now that I know the intelligence level of the people that are going to respond to my posts. I know not everybody on this forum are a low as you two, but you are lowering the standard. Good bye.........YOUR MOM!!!!!

So very true. People refuse to respect one another on this board and it continually disappoints me.

I agree. I have no problem with people living in trailer homes. If he thinks that is an insult, I think that points more towards the theory that HE thinks living in a trailer is something that makes someone "lower class." Shame on him for judging.

Exactly. Not everyone can live in an dilapidated apartment building that has hobo's abandoned shopping carts strewn about and elevators that smell like TJ Oshie & Erik Haula lived in them like Brent does. Rather rude of our new friend to be so judgemental.

I think we have just as good a chance of getting to Pittsburgh as you. Current brackets have us playing Niagara and then Quinnipiac or Notre Dame. The Gophers would play UMass-Lowell, then Western Michigan or Denver. We have at least split with every team we have played except for the first series of the year at UNH, and a terrible series against Northern Michigan. The NMU series was a turning point in the season I think.

The only teams that I would like to avoid in the brackets are BC, UNH, and Minnesota. Other than that, I would favor us against any team.

Stearns County Pride on Ice will split with the Rodents this weekend. The chase for the cup will be on. May the best team win.

This series is important because of the positioning of the two teams. If that was Wisconsin 5 points back of us it'd be just as big of a deal. Gopher fans thinking otherwise are suffering from delusions of grandeur.
