Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

What the **** is this? Why can't this ****ing team win on the road

And that 5th goal with one tenth of a second left? Ugh. They just look flat. Penalties, penalties, penalties. Chase had, what, 4 tonight? Ugh. I love Thomas and what he has done this season, but he has to figure out a way to get this team to win on the road.

I was very disappointed with the America One broadcast. The first 5 minutes were awful, pixillating and freezing on me. When it finally started to work it was blurry and the camera didn't follow the puck well at all. I won't be watching it tomorrow night.

Matt is too young to have forgotten more hockey than I know. He does however know a lot more hockey than I do.
He's high on Van Allen and I'm not. I'm all for skating the puck however Van Allen hangs onto it too long and tries to do too much with it. He also misses his assignment too often. Good kid, but trying to bring him along too quickly.
Williams is a bit of a loose cannon and Matt is down on him right now. Chris is the biggest, toughest and fastest player on the Seawolves.
There was a lot of banging out there tonight.
After sitting him for a couple of games, it's time to put Chris back out there.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Whut? The home team got 5 more power plays than the road team? In a game called by a long time CCHA veteran ref who was born and raised in Michigan? Say it ain't so ...

We need to get Jimmy Brett in shape and re-certified to call games at the sully if this is the sort of crap we're going to see from podunk michigan colleges.

Couldn't agree more. I really like Williams. And it's time for VanAllen to sit a few. I bet we see a different line up tomorrow night. Surprised that Gundy wasn't the back up to Kamal tonight. I wonder who will start in net tomorrow? They need to play a lot more disciplined, and get that PP clicking. The Badgers just swept the #1 team in the country, and UAA nearly swept the Badgers on the road. They can do it!!

A couple tripping penalties could have been called on Lake State, but some that UAA took were quite blatant.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

According to woody, Chris Williams in for Hayden Trupp, bailey and tatchell will double shift tonight, gunderson in for kamal

Come on seawolves, we need these points

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

nice bounce back game tonight by the boys, getting some help from Ferris and hopefully MSU tonight as well. Gundy looked sharp, and my Player of the game tonight was Hubbs, he was all over tonight,

Now if we want home ice, we better take 4 points from Bowling green next week, other wise i think we are on the road for the playoffs.

GO SEAWOLVES.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Pettitt had a nice 4 point weekend. 2 goals and 2 assists.

Duwe seems to have come on. In the last home series, I noticed that he seemed to have a knack for being around the crease during scoring chances. He just didn't finish anything then. He had a bit of a breakout weekend with his 2 goals.

Good secondary scoring this weekend. Take away 3 mins or so at the end of the 2nd last night and you've got a real nice weekend.

Six more points will get them to 29 ... Don't know now if that could lock down the last home ice. Could still take as much as 31.

The BG series could be huge for them if they can get a sweep at home. BG is 4-3-1 over their last 8 games. UAA is 5-2-1 over their last 8 games.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Good Job UAA! So happy that we got these two points! Hoping for HOME ICE!!!

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

As I posted in the LSSU UAA thread:

We stay afloat in the hunt for home ice! We desperately need a sweep of Bowling Green, I have no idea how we are going to play against Ferris State. The Bulldogs last three weekends: got swept by MSU (we swept MSU the week before), split with Michigan Tech (three of four points for us early in the season), and just swept Northern Michigan (we just split with them). Then we have UA_, which anything and everything will happen up in squareville. While the split is nice, it seems to make me more nervous. If we did unfortunately get swept I'd think, okay home ice is now out of the question, let's focus and get hot for the playoffs. But now were still in the thick of things. Idk, I just don't know bro's and brosefs.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

**** we had some pretty goals, and some darn lucky bounces for goals:

Pettitt seems to really contributing, maybe it's cuz just he's developing quite nicely or he is getting more chances than under Shyiak. Or perhaps a combination of both. It's nice to see. Bailey just absolutely ripped that shot.

Baileys was a goal scorers goal ... very similar to the one Allen scored in the Saturday game against Northern Michigan.
