Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Woody is right on top of things all UAA Hockey ya know?

I wonder if his heart is in it any more? He has had several mistakes in his articles this season as well. Maybe it's time for him to retire. At least he's been less mean spirited this season.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Woody had some nice things to say about Bailey, but not fawning over him like one of his sacred Aces. When he writes about UAA hockey 1/3 of his article has an undercurrent to it, that in my opinion lets me know he just flat out doesn't like or care about the Seawolves period and would rather just put out some blasé wrap up and be done with it.
He's got nothing invested in the current program and that, once again just my opinion, is never going to change. Oh we'll no big deal, I find all the things here that matter anyway.
Hope everyone has a sunny day tomorrow!

2 year, entry level contract. Not bad for him, obviously a two-way deal.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Signing bonus even after taxes should give him walking around money till his next paycheck.

Heck yeah! His signing bonus was $185,000! You know, he could have left the program like some other players did, but he stuck it out for 4 years. I am just so glad he had a fun senior year, and now this. Wow. Couldn't be more deserved.

Over $205,000.00 canadian and give or take a few kegs of King Street beer . To all the seniors... Thanks for deciding to play for UAA.

The signing bonus gets paid at $92,500 each year for a 2 year total of 185,000.
And our other seniors will have success in whatever they choose to do. My guess is they will pursue a hockey career at the next level.
A great group of young men.
Thanks for an exciting 4 years!
They went by way too fast.

He earned every penny, hope he gets time in the show! Thank you Matt Bailey.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

Off to Maine for the NC road trip. That's a travel.
It's a might further than the corner grocery store.
That said I doubt we'll hear a hue and cry about the travel.
The same can't be said for some of our conference teams.
When I was looking at the schedule it makes me think we'll be staying outside between some series next season.
Haven't asked, it's just my guess.
Moneywise I don't know which is cheaper: airplane tickets or hotel, meal money, ground transport, ice rental, etc.
Lot of school to miss however not staying up all night traveling, yo-yoing time zones.
Makes me think this coach wants to win some hockey games.

Re: UAA: Exciting Things Ahead!

So I was looking today to see who UAH could realistically catch next season. I like our puncher's chances next season, and we only go to Fairbanks next year. I know that it's a long trip, and I'd love to have you come down!

Sure, you lose a lot in your senior forwards, but between Allen, Tatchell, and Duwe, I think you're okay. What's going to happen in net?

GFM <— does not expect UAH to catch UAA.
