Actually they are jealousy stripes. You have to earn them by being honest and saying what you feel.
They people that knock you down and hate you attack your reputation by slamming you. They are the irrational, stupid trolls.

You do understand trends and statistics, don't you Papa Bear?

Seeing how UMO is much worse than last season, what exactly can you point to that would give you any indication that UMO would beat top ranked BC on the road for their 1st road win against a winning team in a long long time (05 at BC). If u were a betting man I would take your lunch money.

I think you need a reality check. Like I said, perhaps (although doubtful) at UNH because they are reeling, but a no-go at BC.

I believe in our team and our coaching staff.
Whatever the score we will end up winners because we have a great school and a super program.

On the hockey side we have one of the best offensive lines in college hockey.
Abbott Flynn Diamond all rank amongst the top in any NCAA program and we are strong throughout. I know some will argue otherwise but I have faith in our program.

Fortunately this isn't the land of make believe and fantasy, and the score does matter. Let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya in hopes that the score won't matter and UMO will miraculously receive an NCAA at-large bid while we are at it.

ND football fan...could care less about their other sports...let me ask you again, do you remember when Maine made NCAAs and FF consistently? Those days have stopped. Why if Timmy is such a great man. Give me a concrete answer and stop your BS.

now that he is helping out at Dubuque with Mony on occasion, his Angel dust is there

maybe the best hockey success ever by an expansion team at junior level

Maine should grab him before someone else does

I like Coach Whitehead. It goes beyond wins and loses. he is an excellent role model for our players. He has developed them, look at Gus or Spencer as examples.

As far as the NCAAs we will be back in the tourney. In the meantime we can enjoy quality Black Bear hockey. We also have some excellent recruits coming in.

We have to trust in our program. Players do develop and reality is that we are regarded as an excellent D 1 hockey program.

You still didn't answer. What is your excuse for why Whitehead has led one of the greatest programs of all time into four years of no NCAA appearances???

I will look at Nyquist.
he did not improve a lick in his 3 years at Maine. As a matter of fact, he was much worse his third year than he was his first.
I have no idea why, but I would bet that it was because your role model had him playing through a hernia or torn hip cartilage. Why do I GUESS this, because he has done it in the past.
your "role model" even called one of his players the morning he was to undergo knee ligament repair at beg him to wait till the season was over.... the kid put his health ahead of the team.
Your role model put his contract ahead of a kid's health.

(oh and the hernia... Timmy would not allow the kid to see a doctor for fear of being told that he could not play.... great role model)
should I start on Sill and Czuba?

Well it is still one of the greatest programs of all time and just like our great game there are 3 periods, not one!

The fact that you can state that we were (and still are IMO) 'one of the gretatest programs of all time' proves that you believe in Maine hockey.

remember the game is not won or lost in the second period.
