How far back into HBO's history does HBO GO's catalog, well, go? I've never looked into installing the app even though I have HBO.

And Rome.
I liked The Newsroom.
Glad somebody else felt this way. A real downer after the great first season.
I assume you're talking about the Newsroom?
There's a fairly large contingent of people who actually beat off as they criticise the Newsroom. It's the only way they can get their jollies.
What was the name of that Johnny Carson bit, the All-Knowing, All-Seeing (insert name here)?
Is it worth getting into Homeland? Was able to get access to Showtime on my AppleTV (thanks a relatives super everything DirecTV package). This is on top of the HBO Go account I have thanks to my cable package.
So, because I'm lazy and find it easier to just play shows from the AppleTV, what are some recommendations of what to watch from HBO and Showtime?
The Wire
Homeland
...
???
one more to add: Dead Like Me (Showtime). It was only two seasons, but should've been more. It's basically the story of a young woman who dies in the first ten mintes or so of the show, is chosen to become a grim reaper (one of many reapers), and has to muddle her way through the job while "living" her afterlife, at the same also holding down a normal job in order to pay her bills - because reapers don't get paid. Mandy Patinkin plays her boss.
