Want some SOA props? Bidding is slowly closing, but plenty of items remain:

Brent, Gurt and others may be interested.

The only thing I want related to that show is something they don't sell. I've only found questionable bootleg versions: a beanie with the Reaper on it, and/or a beanie with "Reaper Crew" on it. They sell the Reaper Crew baseball hat, but I don't really wear baseball hats anymore.

My favorite part was that they ended it with an outtake of the handover (or whatever it's called) with Colbert and Stewart.

I always enjoyed that in the early days and then it just went away at some point.

I think it said a lot that they showed that last. A tribute to where it all started and how those two have been intertwined over the years.

I agree, that ending was the cherry on top. Made it a throwback to his days as a correspondent.

Has anyone watched a BBC show called The Game? It's about a KGB defector in London in 1972. It sounds a lot like the Americans, though being the BBC I expect it will be more cerebral with less sex and action.

Also HBO is showing Season 1 of the Wire on the 26th and Season 2 on the 27th

I keep meaning to but get sidetracked by other things. I'll watch it on demand or on Netflix.

Uhm, it sounds like they completely get parody, they know he made his money poking fun of them. I'll leave it at that since I don't want to ruin this thread with politics.

No, it's the opposite. They think Colbert is making fun of their mannerisms or their mistakes by doing an impression. But Colbert is ridiculing the whole idea of them by being a character. Those are completely different sentiments; they don't even overlap much if at all.

They think Colbert was The Soup. It wasn't -- it was Dr. Strangelove. The Daily Show is what they're thinking of. It is remarkable that after 8 years they still don't get it.

This isn't about politics, it's about aesthetics. This is what I mean. tl;dr: They think it's mimetic comedy, but it's tragicomedy. The fact that they are unable to understand the joke is the joke.

Absolutely spot on.

They honestly don't get the joke as they are the joke.

It's not their gaffes that Colbert made fun of. It was their being.

Haven't seen any comments on the Homeland season finale. It was.....uneventful. Obviously just a set up for next season, but after the season, it was kind of blah. One thing I will say is whoever casted the baby that plays Frannie, he/she deserves an Emmy because that baby seriously looks like Brody.

The Affair also ended on Sunday. I thought it was great. The time jump though had me confused. Again, another finale that basically set up next season.

I've totally been enjoying The Comeback. Anyone else watching it? Lisa Kudrow is fantastic in it.

I'm going to watch The Affair on demand, likely tomorrow night after work. It's been a suprisingly good show.

I can't stand The Comeback. Lisa Kudrow's character is just far too annoying to me.

The Homeland finale was terrible. They actually something going on in the second to last episode, especially with the last scene. Something that could have actually gone somewhere, and then they just ****ed it away in the last episode, and made nothing of it. I was very disappointed.

The Affair got much better as the season went on, I wasn't sure if I should keep going with it after a few episodes, but I'm glad I did. I didn't realize that this was the season finale, I kinda thought there would be one more episode.

Fixed it for you.

I missed the first one or two episodes of The Affair, so never started in on it. I too plan on catching up with it on demand.

SOA S7 is slated to be delivered March 2, 2015 so that previous Tue is when I think it's released on DVD.

First season of the Walking Dead is on right now with AMC's marathon. Zombies seemed a lot smarter early on in the series.
