And just because something isn't high quality doesn't mean you can't like it or enjoy it. I definitely think that there is a difference between preferences of a person and the quality of something.

Hell, millions of people loved Sharknado, there's nothing wrong with that. It does not make it a quality movie.
No, it was the tremendous acting performances that made Sharknado a quality movie...

This. Sharknado is not a quality movie. It's horribly awesome. Rock Of Ages is awesomely horrible. Either way, it's NOT quality, and I love the movie.

You guys are missing the point of what I said...you are right and we all know that but the inverse is true also. Just because tons of people like something doesnt mean it is low quality either which is what people imply.

And as for New Glarus, they probably know they cant afford to expand too much and the risk isnt worth the reward.

They actually can. They have before, but a distributor tried to screw them over, so they decided not to expand. They could easily hit the border cities of MN, MI, IL (where they got screwed). Much like Surly's slow expansion.

Binged through the second half of the Walking Dead's latest season. I think it's the first time all series I haven't felt like it's a chore to get through certain episodes. Sure, it had certain trademarks such as: Character makes 360 degree turn without seeing anything but person/walker still sneaks up on them, Experienced Fighter takes on ten walkers at once and survives clean, but gets bit taking on just one, and Mental Breakdown causing irrational thought process. Still, good season, even though it looks like it will just have a similar story arc starting next season.

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

Is anybody watching Texas Rising or Turn? Texas Rising is slightly better than Sons of Liberty and I mean slightly, they basically took every half truth or legend and put it in the story plus all these story lines which have nothing to do with the Independence of Texas. It's funny I though it was over after the battle of San Jacinto I didn't realize there were 2 more hours.

I liked the first season of Turn but this season was disappointing. If I wasn't fascinated by the Culper Ring I probably would like it but it doesn't follow the history of the ring at all this season. I kept waiting for them to introduce Robert Townsend,, who was the main information gatherer of the ring along with James Rivington, who hasn't been introduced and Agent 355 whose never been identified, and then it was disappointing.

I'm looking forward to Making of the Mob on AMC tommorrow hopefully it won't disappoint.

I literally watched about 2 minutes of Texas Rising before I couldn't stomach their "history" any more. In that time someone survived the Alamo Massacre and they kept calling them Texans, not Texians. So I was out.

I have a same opinion as you about Turn. Last season was good, this season not quite as much, though it is still miles better than Texas Rising, and I'm generally a sucker for anything with Redcoats.

Let us know about the Mob one. That would definitely interest me, when it hits Netflix/etc.

Triec to watch Texas Rising. Just couldn't do it, it completely lost my interest.

I never even realized the second season of Turn had begun until I saw an episode in my DVR guide so set to record it. Turns out it was the next to last epsidoe of the season, so I just deleted it and will catch up on demand over the next couple weeks, before the Tour starts.

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

Final episode of Game of Thrones was unsettling.

Episodes 3 and 4 of UnReal were a bad sign of where the show is going. It's taking itself far too seriously.

The second-to-last episode of Veep, "Testimony," was one of the most interesting experiments I've seen from a mainstream TV show. The entire episode is the hearings and depositions -- there is zero interaction between characters -- so it's all carried on the writing, which is outstanding.

It's okay, part documentary, part live action, following Luciano. Lansky, Siegel, Costello and Genovese. First episode dealt with early years, them hooking up with Joe Masseria and Arnold Rothstein, next week's should handle the Castemallarese Wars. I have noticed a couple minor inaccuracies. Mix of Historians. Selwyn Rabb, David Pietrusza who wrote a good bio of Rothstein, Rich Cohen who wrote a book on Siegel, Lansky and Lepke Buchalter Tough Jews I'm going to have to read it, and others Rudy Guiliani, Meyer Lansky grandson a guy from the Soprano's. Will watch next week's episode.

Selwyn Rabb wrote "The Five Families" (which is a massive book), and I've seen him on other mob stuff. He knows his sh*.

Them! about to come on TCM, followed by The Wasp Woman at 1:30 am.

This will be the final season of Hannibal.

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

Tried two new HBO shows, The Brink and Ballers and they were both decent pilots. I will watch the next episode in each.

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

The acting could be better but Mr Robot has its hooks in me after one episode.

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

Watched the season premier of The Last Ship. Talk about over-the-top acting! And it was amazing how all of the MD State Troopers couldn't hit anyone, while every ordinary seaman with an AR-15 was a marksman!

And did anyone find it ironic that the swabbies "saved" Baltimore. Just sayin! :D
