Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

When they finally admit Tracy Morgan has never been funny?

Yeah I dont get why people like him...or well anyone on that show minus Alec Baldwin.

As for Psych that kid should have been beaten just for saying the New Star Wars movies are better than the original trilogy

I think Tina Fey is actually a fantastic straight (wo)man. It's a really uneven cast, though. Some of the characters (Morgan, Kenneth, Jenna) are nails on a chalkboard.

I said it the last thread also, but my favorite new show, by far, is Revenge on ABC. I hope others feel the same, because it will **** me off if this one gets cancelled.

Revenge will get a full season.

Meh...of the all-time great sitcoms, one involved a group of alcoholic doctors who had their own still while another was set in a bar with only occasional scenes elsewhere. I'm not putting HIMYM in that class, but I'd hardly call it depressing or sad. I'd rather the hangout be a bar than generic coffee shop #121 like every other sitcom made since the early 90's.

If alcohol is used as a device to create a communal effect, that is one thing. A plot line about how a character can't give up drinking even though she's pregnant is a whole different ballpark though. Though it did give them a chance to use one of their favorite plays out of playbook: Marshall and Lily have an argument, Marshall is right, Lily yells, Marshall acts dopey and gives in.

This is as old as vaudeville, and they probably ripped it off Commedia dell'arte who ripped it off Plautus.

I used to think it was sexist. Then I got married. The classics -- there is a reason for them.

Have you ever met a pregnant women? If so you have probably heard them complain that they cant drink. That does not make them an alcoholic.

Going to meetings does :p

Never would have caught on to all that. Very interesting. Although Evil Troy and Evil Abed was pretty funny.

Makes total sense now though...many of the things point out were little things that bugged me about the last episode. 9Jeff and Annie...the Marijuana Lighter comment) Now it all makes sense.

What is the deal with all these zombies being on this road? Shouldn't they be off looking for food somewhere?
