Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Some reason it has lost its appeal to me this year, think it is trying to hard to be out the box that is way to far out of it

I'm not getting enough John Goodman. He's been in what 1 episode this season? I'm pretty sure he was signed on for something like 6.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Chelsea is bad. Bad bad bad. Just have Laura Prepon jump around in a bra all show long, maybe I'll tune in then.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I can't even stand Handler's E! show, so there's no way in hell I'm watching whatever crap she's wasting Laura Prepon on.

My E! was awesome! I was like the straight Steve Kmetko...

Oh you meant Chelsea...thank god I don't know anyone of her branch of the family tree? ;)

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I'm sure I'll be bashed for this, but the premiere of Rob really wasn't all that bad. I found myself laughing out loud several times. Although I have a feeling it's just another one-trick pony, with a solid pilot and straight downhill from here. I hope I'm wrong because I dig Rob Schneider's complete lack of shame, and his wife in this show is gorgeous.

I had much the same opinion, but the uncle annoyed me to no end.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I was just coming here to say this. :D

Every season streaming on Netflix is amazing :D

I must confess...my buddy and I have sorta written a script that involves bringing Sam Becket home...it hurts that every time we try though word comes down of a QL movie or something. Time to make a few calls...

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Ok either How I Met Your Mother is embracing the fact that everyone hates Ted and Barney is the real star, or it is total unintentional comedy but changing the opening and having it called "How I Met Your Barney" with him singing words for the theme is Legen...wait for it...

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

So, Alcatraz.

Cop Drama meets X-Files. You have the equivalent of the Cigarette Smoking Man who knows more than he's letting on, and he doesn't care who knows it, and you have Mulder/Scully.

I am cautiously optimistic. It has potential for both a huge success, or a huge failure. I can't see middle ground here.

That being said, I liked the premiere, despite the cut-editing/MTV editing (quick, show a close-up of the tire speeding up to the curb!). That comic book/doctor guy I think will be the glue that holds the chemistry together between all the characters.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Alcatraz was a cross between LOST and your standard cop/detective show. There was just enough of the "what the hell is going on" to make you want to keep watching, without giving away too much. I think it has a chance to capture the same cult following as LOST did.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I never watched Lost, so I cannot compare. I went with what I know. ;)

I'm also thankful that it's on at 8, not 7, because I will almost for sure be able to watch new episodes as they air. :)
