Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

BTW, I'm not being critical of Archer at all -- I love it; I just want more of it.

This. Kind of what I was saying too. I knew they were doing 10-13 episode seasons. I would just love it to be 20+. Though at the same time I don't want them to get stale.

I agree, but that's definitely not an Archer thing, it's a cable thing. It's Always Sunny does around 13 a season. Curb Your Enthusiasm does 10, and so on.

Family Guy - meh. Cleveland Show - crap. American Dad - funny. The "Ice Cream and Naps" truck was great.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Just got caught up on Dexter.

I was wondering when they would get around to having that happen.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Alcatraz is a good premise for a show on HBO; I don't trust a major with it.

I hope they play Lost Girl strictly for laughs (whatever the original intention).

Everything else looks horrible.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I just realized that the actress that played Polly Zobelle in SoA is the main character in Alcatraz...I like this.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

House Of Lies has an interesting cast, though I can't really tell what it's about from the blurb. Shipping Wars seems like a good bet if you've ever gotten really excited when Hoven talks about work. Overall... wow, that's a lot of reality garbage. Do there really need to be two shows about tattoos? (Do there really need to be any shows about tattoos?)

Oh, and I guess I'll have to watch that new Rob Schneider show, so I can be properly informed when I inevitably want to mock it.

I would watch House of Lies, if I had Showtime. The cast is enough to grab my interest.

I'm generally not a fan of reality tv, but Spike is running this marathon of Auction Hunters, and I can't stop watching. These two guys are just extremely charismatic, and it''s a thrill watching them pore through the stuff they've bid on and discovering the treasures inside.

You too, huh? I love the strategeries in assessing a storage unit. A certain look of a leg of furniture, or seeing "fragile," or whatever.

You mean they took time out from airing marathon after marathon of the Star Wars trilogies?

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Caught the first three episodes of the Brit show "Sherlock." It's pretty good, though I liked it better when it was called "House."

And you gotta figure those two know a lot about pretty much everything if they're going to be able to make that assessment about what's inside, and how valuable it might be, to make that judgement after just a quick look from a distance. Really must have spent a lot of time on their homework.
