Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I've been watching Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Starz has been replaying the season, leading up to Spartacus: Vengence. This show is pretty **** awesome, even if it is a bit over dramatic. I'm still less than half way through the season, just got done with the episode when Spartacus and Crixus fought as a team, now I'm wondering where this is going to go the rest of the season.

It's a good show. Season 2 isn't as good as the first, but still very entertaining. Season 2 was a prequel in order to not have the character of Spartacus in the show as the guy who played Spartacus was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (ended up losing the fight about six months ago). I'm happy to see that there will be a third released, but I'm curious if there will be a new actor playing Spartacus.

Yeah, I heard that Season 2 wasn't as good, and since it was a prequel, I think I'm going to skip it, and go straight to Vengence. There is supposed to be a new Spartacus, some Australian guy.

Watching a sneak peek clip of Kiefer Sutherland's new show Touch. He plays a character called Martin Bohm. Which sounds like bomb. As in

TELL ME WHERE THE BOMB IS!!!!!!!

:)

You mean he doesn't know where he is?

I spent all of last night and today catching up on Revenge and I have come to really like the show, but I just don't see how the show can last for more than one or two seasons.

I thought the same thing about 24. I mean honestly, how many terrible days can this guy have? :)

Me either. I did read somewhere that they will get to the fateful engagement party shooting before the end of this season. Bringing these new characters into the show could lead to newer storylines.

Maybe, but that will change the fundamental nature of the show from a daughter extracting vengeance on the people who framed her father. Unless it moves to getting revenge on the person who shot her fiancee.

I could see that.

I could see that.

The focus on the Emily's machinations and implementation of her plans is what makes the show different from any other prime-time soap opera with remarkable rich, stupid and unlikeable characters. How they keep this going will be interesting.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Tonight's episode wasn't that great. Decent, but not much more. I just couldn't stay interested and it wasn't compelling to watch. It didn't feel like the story advanced outside of (spoiler) him putting a bullet in the head of a 63 and sending him to some guy at the end.

That spoiler is huge. I think the guy at the end is the same guy as in the past. I think. I never paid attention to the guy's name in the past.

And we did get a little backstory on Doc.

I have a feeling this show will be a slow burn type of show.
