Minus the fact that Ted is a completely unlikeable ****** tonights HIMYM was pretty good. Marshall should have gone for the Slap Trick though

I kind of like the fact that the show has more or less started to embrace the fact that Ted is a douuche.

Oh, and Hurricane Eriksen, FTW.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Hell on Wheels definitely merits me sticking with it for a few more episodes. I like the lead, I like Common, I like the railroad baron. Some of the other stuff is so-so.

I'll stick around watching it for a few more episodes at least. A half hour into it I was fairly bored, but the last half hour picked up enough to get me interested enough for a few more weeks at least.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Hell on Wheels is sitting on my DVR, I need to get around to watching it one of these nights. Maybe I'll watch it before SoA tonight.

I'm gonna give it a couple more episodes before I write off Ted. There has to be a payoff somewhere. Bringing back the Slap Bet was genius. The fact that Marshall now has an extra slap will hopefully payoff at the wedding.

Now I'm interested in what they call the baby. **** THEM FOR MAKING ME CARE!!!

Barney and Robin shoul get awkward for at least one episode so lets see how they play that.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I finally got around to seeing "Advanced Gay" on Community. I liked it, I know a lot of folks here are impatient with Britta's psych stuff but I thought it was used well there. And this was the return of Thoroughly Unpleasant Pierce, which is the best Pierce.

Also enjoyed that the cameo of Pierce's father was played by one of the voice talents from "Pinky and the Brain."

Finished watching episode 3 of OUAT...few more characters hinted at. Grumpy and Sleepy were the janitor/security guard at the hospital, and I'm guessing the doctor was Doc, which leaves 4 more dwarves to find. Best guess is that the sheriff is the forrester who let Snow White go in her back story.

Just caught up on this series - like it a lot. There's a ton of storybook characters they can still add, since it isn't limited to Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I think the backstory has to expand a lot with other fairy tales to keep it going. It's possible the sheriff could be an animal, too. I think he's definitely part of the story, though - he has the same hazy memory as the characters.

Yup culminating in the phone call he gets while gambling with Marshall which will lead to their wedding where Marshall will slap his face raw!

So I decided to finally watch New Girl. I'll put it on the Hulu list, but won't strive to watch it live. The social awkwardness reminds me of me.

My wife is working on me to watch- she likes it. I'm not so sure- what the characters actually do is pretty predictable. Like when modern Snow White came up on Charming- she started doing heart pump part of CPR, and I was saying- just start mouth to mouth- close enough for a kiss, and a kiss always revives in a story tale. Mrs Alfa wasn't happy with me, especially when it happened.

Every time the mayor/witch gets mad, she does something that's pretty obvious. Bringing the former fiance and lying about it, or trying to stop the kid from reaching the real mom. But it's always REALLY funny when the kid ALWAYS gets away.

we'll see.

There's talk on other message boards that I frequent that the sheriff is The Huntsman. I'm trying to figure out who the waitress chick in the diner is. I think it's Red Riding Hood.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

My wife likes "Modern Family" for some reason. Just seems like the same old laugh track crap to me.

Yeah, she is. You saw brief glimpses of her in the pilot, both in fairy tale land and then at Granny's when Emma was checking in.

Oh for chrissakes. Now I'm convinced you're just posting nonsense to try and get a reaction. Congratulations, I guess.

If this was a serious post, it only goes to show (like your countless previous posts) that you have some sort of complex that doesn't allow you to like anything most other people agree is fantastic.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

I was exploring NetFlix yesterday because I was home sick from work...

Found the BBC "Sherlock" show. Only 3 episodes...but enjoyed every minute. If you haven't seen it, the show is a modern adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes Mysteries.

I like a couple of the BBC shows as "Top Gear" is a favorite too. The American Top Gear sucks.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

This weeks episode of Misfits was fantastic. For those who don't watch it (which seems to be everyone) I recommend giving it a chance. It is on E4, I think their website has episodes, and would imagin seasons 1 and 2 would be available on Netflix.

I don't think this means what you think it does. Nothing about that show is the same ole anything.

It is a schtick right? You seriously cant have this terrible of taste. I mean even if you sat around listening to NPR all day and watching TPT/PBS all the time you couldnt be as lame as you portray yourself. Ya know how people have teenage kids who mock their parents for being square or lame...80 year olds look at you and do the same.
