Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Welcome to the cult. ;)

I just started streaming season 1 on netflix this week. So far so good. My first "oh wow" moment was I think the third episode where Walt puts the pieces of the broken plate together and makes the discovery...

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Pt 2 of Halloween for AHS had Galactica-speed course changes and shocks. Just when it look like it would split apart with centrifugal force everything's right back on the Marriage. Good enough to catch the next one.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

So, the CMA Awards are on ABC tomorrow night so that means none of my Wednesday shows are on. Boo.

Awesome! CMA's are one of the best nights on TV! We'll finally get to find out who wins the Brantley Gilbert - Eric Church breakout artist battle thats been going on for weeks now.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

CMA Awards
I definitely thought CMA stood for Country Music Awards before I just looked it up and I was going to get upset, because the Redundant Department of Redundancy and I really don't get along.

/completely off-topic

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

The answer is yes.
I agree with Rimbaud. Happy Endings is really funny.
Yeah, I'm starting to think you guys are right. I was originally watching it because it had an interesting cast (the guy from my high school, the chick from the last season of Scrubs, the other chick who was on SNL, Kim Bauer, Damon Wayans Jr.) even though the first season wasn't all that impressive, but it's getting pretty good, much like Parks and Recreation hit its stride in its second season.
Minus the fact that Ted is a completely unlikeable ****** tonights HIMYM was pretty good. Marshall should have gone for the Slap Trick though
Once again, HIMYM did an excellent job of capturing NYC 20s/30s life with the bit about the hurricane, and how basically everyone I knew went from "I bet it's no big deal" to "HOLY CRAP WE HAVE TO EVACUATE" to "ah screw it, let's just get drunk".
My wife likes "Modern Family" for some reason. Just seems like the same old laugh track crap to me.
Assuming you're not trolling, give it another chance, it's really good.

Why would they do that?

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Watching New Girl. Not enjoying it.

At this point, the only new sitcom that I'm actually enjoying regularly is Tim Allen's Last Man Standing. The rest are a giant pile of "Meh"

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

This is a good start to South Park.

"Who needs to read a bunch of stupid books when we have the History Channel?"

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Psych was good tonight, especially Shawn after he took amphetamines. "20, 21, 22, 23..."

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Double elimination on Survivor. Unfortunately, the girl I'm rooting for got sick during the challenge.

South Park was dumb this week. They've been hit or miss, and sadly, this was one of their "miss" episodes.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

SoA was good again this week. There were some very interesting developments, what will be the fallout from Tara's injury to her hand? Sheriff guy's conversation with Juice at the hospital...Gemma/Clay and Gemma's subsequent comments to Unser.

I have said it before, but damm do I really hope that someone kills Clay.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

1/3 way through Californicaton S4.....next season prob should be the last. There has to be an ending to this story. Honestly, it's starting to rely on zany sitcom situations right now (the monkey, the internet pic, etc). Unless something really good happens, this is a show in decline. It's still good, but it's not great, like it was the first 3 seasons.
